This is a lovely friendly country pub. The staff are so friendly they made us welcome but I think maybe they were more interested in Our Dog Maddy lol! Nothing was too much trouble. We had Sunday lunch and it was amazing, you can fill...your plate as much as you want, we also ate here again and had the steak and ale pie, fish & chips & pork belly. All were delicious. A shout out to Nathan for taking care of us and MaddyMore

I chose this place primarily because the website showed it as being pet-friendly - I can confirm it is! When asked if I could order a sausage for our canine friend, the owners said they were cooking chicken for their dogs & would we like...some for ours. Sadly, ours won't eat chicken so I declined, but a thoughtful gesture. Most of my party were also over an hour late (mis-communication) but working with the staff, they were still able to manage our menu choices. The menu catered for both vegetarians (my husband & I) as well as meat-eaters with the vegetarian options being substantial and tasty. I would highly recommend this place for friendly staff, warmth, lovely atmosphere and a good menu selection. The bonus was the dog biscuits available to help yourself to for your canine family member!More

Best ever homemade sticky toffee pudding with plenty of dates and warm toffee sauce, soft and light to eat. This was an excellent find, outside was scruffy but inside tidy and food excellent. It was busy even at 12.00 Sunday lunch, carvery lovely quality, plenty...of choice meats and veg. Big yorkshires definitely homemade. Booking required as they have sittings not continuous service so food is fresh. Will definitely return.More

Went there on Saturday evening all COVID restrictions were being operated. You felt at ease and very safe . The staff were polite and very friendly. Even though they had a reduced menu what we had to eat was great . Please thank all the...staff and let’s just hope everything gets back to normal as soon as possible. The table was booked by miss Emms . And my name is Glyn.More

We go to ‘ The Brickies’ to eat fairly regularly. The menu is quite broad and has plenty of choice for Vegetarians too. Richard is a first class host and nothing is too much trouble. Food is largely “ home made “ and makes a...welcome change from the usual pub ding food The prices are reasonable and certainly value for what you are served. Absolutely love it here.More
