We celebrated my birthday and so looking forward to going. To be truthful, I was tad disappointed with the whole experience and not too sure if I’d be in a hurry to return. The menu was great, but the noise in the main restaurant hurt...my ears. The acoustics was deafening and couldn’t hear myself think. I’m sensitive with my ears. The food was good, but my worst ever pet hate occurred. Hot food on stone cold plates. Why? It’s such a crime in the catering profession and what’s the point in serving good food on cold plates. It’s a complete waste of time and decent money. The gaps in-between the courses was too rushed for my liking. No soon as you finished one course, your next was there. It was too rushed! You didn’t have time to digest the food and enjoy it properly! Value for money was great, but not sure if we’ll return in a hurry.More

Our first and last visit here. It was meant to be a special celebratory meal. It was very dark and claustrophobic inside which made it difficult to read the menu. There was background music playing but instead of hearing the artists voice they were overwhelmed...with the bass booming out. The menu appears to be over complicated compared to similar places we have visited. We chose steak with fries and were then offered to add one side and one sauce. When the meals arrived we were taken aback as there were no peas and no salad included which is standard everywhere else. Normally we would expect steak and fries with a good selection of salad, mushrooms, peas and peppercorn sauce all included and it’s usually at least half the price of this place. The staff were friendly and the food we were served was of good quality and well cooked but minuscule portions with ‘missing food’ makes it very very expensive. When we left we were still hungry and went elsewhere to top up and have a dessert. First impressions last.More

We booked a table of 8 at the Ranch for a birthday meal. Great welcome very polite staff. We all enjoyed everything I especially loved dessert!

Was pleasantly surprised that the outside was nothing like what we’d see on the inside as we walked into a warm welcome one of the servers, who greeted us as we entered! Had the shared back yard bbq platter with extra side of mac&cheese and...beef ends, followed by key lime pie! Not a cheap venue but for a treat night it’s excellentMore

First time here. Will not be the last. Started with the chicken strips & potato skins. Well cooked and hot. For the main course my husband had the Ranch burger with looded fries upgrade what can l say it was massive. I had the Cow...& chicken burger. The portions are sure big. Next time we come will not have a starter due to the size of the mains. Even the dog was happy when we got home with a goody bag, due to to much food. Excellent service and Excellent foodMore

Just eaten at The Ranch and took advantage of the steak Tuesday deal - great food with lovely cooked steak and the rustic fries are really good - excellent value. Not sure we had room for desserts but we gave them a good go. Staff...are friendly and work hard.More

First visit, met our expectations. Good sized portions but would have liked more veg with the steak. And as I’m really going off meat, some more fish dishes to choose from would have been nice. However the starters were gorgeous and the staff very friendly...and attentive. Glad to find a restaurant with no blaring background ‘music’. I’m sure we’ll be back!More

Myself and my wife travel to this restaurant after reading good things about it online. We were welcomed at the door and quickly seated at our table . The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant was great and fit the theme of the establishment perfectly....The menu is big with plenty of different options to suit all. We had a couple of starters which were the Jalapeño Peppers and the Pork Belly. Although they tasted nice the Jalapeño peppers seemed like store brought frozen ones. Apologies if they're fresh. The belly pork on the other hand was great and very tasty. For mains we both had Rib combos. The downside to the ribs were the silverskin membrain had not been removed which did leave a tough fatty taste to some bites. The brisket was again very tasty but disappointingly pulled and not in typical smoked Brisket slices. The chicken tenders again seemed like frozen ones instead of freshly breaded, again apologies if this is wrong. Sweet potato fries were great but the Garlic mash was very disappointing and quite firm. Overall the food was nice but just missed the mark to make it great. We had the most amazing meal here during our stay in Louth. We shared the starter platter and each had a steak I had the normal chips but my partner had loaded fries which he said were delicious. The staff were all nice and friendly...and the restaurant nicely decorated. We enjoyed our visit and if we are back in the area would most definitely visit again and leave space for dessert next time.More
