We popped in here for lunch while on holiday in the area! The place smelt of decades of stale cigarette smoke. We ordered two lots of sandwiches on granary bread, they came on rather dry whole meal bread, with no explanation as to why the...More

We've stayed here a couple of times and the rooms have always been spot on . Bathrooms immaculate, rooms clean and tidy and quite adequate. The pub part is a proper olde worlde , open fire roaring away, beer is tip top. Friendly atmosphere.

Called in and had a few pints of beer, it was quiet, but it was a Monday so that probably was the reason why, has we had driven past it Saturday and Sunday and it looked very busy. The roaring open fire was very warming.
