This is a lovely friendly cafe on the upper floor of the museum in Gairloch. We were here for coffee and cakes (the banana and chocolate loaf was wondeful) but they also serve a range of lovely lunch items. The staff are really friendly and...professional and we look forward to our next visit.More
Thank you - glad you enjoyed your visit (and the banana and choclate loaf!) - hope you can come again sometime (raspberry and cinnamon scones today!).
Fantastic lunch venue in Gairloch. Delicious and fresh dishes made from local produce. And the staff are so friendly and accommodating. And the home baking is mouthwatering and worth sampling - or they can wrap so you can take away!
Thank you so much - really glad you enjoyed your visit!
Warm welcome from staff and a pleasant chat with the manageress on what was a quiet day. The service was excellent and the baking very good. Worth a visit any time.
Thank you, hope you can call again soon!
OK cafe but short on gluten free choices. Everything freshly made in the kitchen which is open to the dining area. We had vegetable soup which was OK- mine dame with gf oat cakes n Hubby's with brown bread. Coffee was reasonably OK. Service good...but seemed pricey. But great having a coffee shop in the museum as need a break half way through.More
Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback to us - we are sorry to hear you felt there was only a limited range of gluten free options. Our quiches are always gluten free and our sandwiches are available on gluten free bread,...More
The staff was very accommodating to our request for breakfast. One cup of tea and a fantastic Cappuccino were delivered to our table. In addition we were treated to home made scones that melted in your mouth. This brief interlude from our visit to a...much underestimated Gairloch Museum added to our very positive experience. Finally, the view from the Am Bard Cafe is outstanding!!More

Lovely staff, the food was exceptional. If you are in the area it’s worth a visit (as is the museum) location is wonderful, looking out at the water.
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed your visit!
Excellent cappuccinos (decaf and full caf) and scones in a great setting overlooking the bay. Highly recommended!
Thank you David!
The best coffee we’ve e had so far in our trip. Excellent service and although we didn’t eat here today the cakes looked fab and the menu was reasonable and a good selection. A must if you are in Gairloch. We may well get to...come again- thanks The museum is well worth a visitMore
Hope you can! Thank you!
Visited for lunch on a rainy October day. My husband had spicy lentil and veg soup and I had a tuna melt with salad. Both were really tasty- my side salad was exceptional with little cubes of watermelon, curried potato salad, fresh leaves, spring onion...and cucumber- very fresh and complimented the tuna melt very well. The spicy soup was hearty, warming and again very tasty. The staff were all really helpful, friendly and warm- I would definitely recommend this lovely little cafe if you’re passing by. Oh nearly forgot! the coffee is the nicest we’ve had whilst in Scotland.More
Thank you so much - really appreciate your lovely review!
Great Start to school holidays, "AMAZING HOME MADE LEEK AND POTATO SOUP". Then to finish off with a cake and a hot chocolate as watching the rain pass over Gairloch. Lol,said to my mum,it's better than the one out off a tin...
Pleased to hear that! Hope you have great holidays and thanks for leaving a review.
