Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely friendly cafe on the upper floor of the museum in Gairloch. We were here for coffee and cakes (the banana and chocolate loaf was wondeful) but they also serve a range of lovely lunch items. The staff are really friendly and...professional and we look forward to our next visit.More

Fantastic lunch venue in Gairloch. Delicious and fresh dishes made from local produce. And the staff are so friendly and accommodating. And the home baking is mouthwatering and worth sampling - or they can wrap so you can take away!

OK cafe but short on gluten free choices. Everything freshly made in the kitchen which is open to the dining area. We had vegetable soup which was OK- mine dame with gf oat cakes n Hubby's with brown bread. Coffee was reasonably OK. Service good...but seemed pricey. But great having a coffee shop in the museum as need a break half way through.More

The staff was very accommodating to our request for breakfast. One cup of tea and a fantastic Cappuccino were delivered to our table. In addition we were treated to home made scones that melted in your mouth. This brief interlude from our visit to a...much underestimated Gairloch Museum added to our very positive experience. Finally, the view from the Am Bard Cafe is outstanding!!More

Visited for lunch on a rainy October day. My husband had spicy lentil and veg soup and I had a tuna melt with salad. Both were really tasty- my side salad was exceptional with little cubes of watermelon, curried potato salad, fresh leaves, spring onion...and cucumber- very fresh and complimented the tuna melt very well. The spicy soup was hearty, warming and again very tasty. The staff were all really helpful, friendly and warm- I would definitely recommend this lovely little cafe if you’re passing by. Oh nearly forgot! the coffee is the nicest we’ve had whilst in Scotland.More
