After a very nice meal on a Thursday, I booked it table for Friday, thinking they might be busy. I was seated in the restaurant. . .as the only customer! On a warm evening the garden was busy, the bar was busy-+but I sat alone....I don't know if this is SOP for an older woman, but I felt like I was being hidden away. It was not the enjoyable last night in the region I hoped for. Food fine, service good, but left me with a bad taste.More

We were staying a mile away for a week so ate here several times, lunch and dinner, and it ticked all our boxes each time. Prices were on par with other local pubs but the portions went a long way to replenishing the calories burnt...walking up Long Mynd. and the sandwiches were great as well, so often pubs focus more on "real" food where the money comes from . Dog friendly? Absolutely, even our greyhound who does take up a bit of space. Was pretty full at the weekend, and then not in what I would consider the high season, so booking seems advisable. It is a Joules pub so there is a nice selection of beer. Staff were clearlly working hard when it was full but they managed admirably and kept the customers happy. Cannot fault the pub at all, Manager and staff are doing a great jobMore

Went on a bank holiday Saturday. Hadn’t booked. Warm welcome from man behind bar / offered table in restaurant or outside. We chose outside. Large very clean garden. Immaculate in fact. Went in to order. Two baguettes and chips came out in 10 mins. Piping...hot, nice salad. Couldn’t fault it. Good and service good. Pub grub.More

Luckily managed to get a table here to eat as we’d not booked. Nice friendly staff, but the trainee waitress we had serving us had trouble getting our order to the kitchen. Our order was taken twice and still an item of food was missing...and another incorrect. The food though was very tasty and of a good portion size. My husband’s scotch egg starter was huge and my friend had so much halloumi on his starter he couldn’t finish his main. The desserts they were putting together near our table looked amazing (and massive), but we were too full to have any.More

Sat outside in the sunshine and had lunch, and I had chicken pieces (lots and lots), with pasta and green sauce - yummy!

Great home cooked quality food with large portions so you get your money’s worth. Nicely decorated pub in keeping with the character of the building. Best to book a table for evening at the weekend as they can get very busy. Would come here again.

Had Sunday lunch here, as pub was dog friendly and reviews were good. Pre booked , good choice as all tables were reserved. Old fashioned pub where the staff were very friendly and chatty. Good choice on the menu. Decent portions and very tasty food.
