We spent a couple of nights at the Bottle and Glass in Picklescott at the beginning of October. It is not the easiest place to find but it is set in a beautiful village in the glorious Shropshire countryside. The rooms are comfortable and pleasantly...More

We had an evening meal here while staying in the hamlet and enjoyed it so much that we went for Sunday lunch. Both meals were freshly prepared, piping hot and served by friendly people who obviously wanted us to have a pleasant experience. We loved...More

We tried this pub restaurant after a gap of a few years and were not disappointed. The pub is set in picturesque countryside and family run. A relatively limited menu, but very good indeed.

Ate here August Sunday Bank Holiday, booking recommended, nice simple pub food, lovely location, a bit off the beaten track but that made it extra nice.

A group of us had a walk up onto The Longmynd and decided to stop for a drink and something to eat, the pub was bustling but not over busy, nice friendly atmosphere and the food was good “pub grub”.

This was a return visit from our holiday in Church Stretton. The pub, is in the small village of Picklescott in the Shropshire hills. Best found via SatNav and bear in mind the roads are narrow, very narrow in places. As on previous visits, we...More

We stayed about 3/4 a mile down the road in Nest Cottage so a comfortable walk, which is useful and rare when staying anywhere rural, normally! Great real ale pub, plenty of choice of real ale, and also an excellent choice of wine. The Staff...More

We arrived with friends to find the pub surprisingly empty on a Friday evening, but found a very warm welcome. My friend fancied a gin, and was presented with a whole list to choose from, eventually plumping for rhubarb! Good food, unhurried service, and our...More

Hi. Yes, we allow dogs in the bar area. We only have two tables in the bar though so I would advise reserving one should you wish to eat. We also have a few tables outside the pub if it's sunny.

The Bottle & Glass in Picklescott, South Shropshire is now open for business again after a complete renovation and is under the new management of Jon Cornes. Dating back to the 17th century The Bottle & Glass is a quintessentially English country pub which offers accommodation and is full of rustic charm and character, with oak beams, open fires and a wonderfully warm atmosphere. Our carefully prepared menu which is inspired by classic English dishes uses locally sourced produce whenever possible. Jon can be found behind the bar serving some great local ales and fine wines all of which can be found at very competitive prices. Our Sunday lunch is ideal for all the family to enjoy and for special occasions ask for details of our Private Dining Room which we can make available for groups of up to twelve people. Whatever your reason for visiting The Bottle & Glass we can assure you of a very warm and friendly welcome from all of our staff from the moment that you walk through the door. We look forward to welcoming you soon
