Great little cafe perfect for a snack after 8 mile circular walk to Tarr Steps. We both had apple and cinnamon cake with clotted cream it was fantastic. Enough cinnamon for the taste but not over powering the apple flavour was simply lovely as were the coffees. I can highly recommended it here.

Called here for lunch midway through a walk. Good service from friendly staff and excellent food. Not a big cake fan but the chocolate cake was delicious. Will be returning and can recommend.

Myself and my partner had a week away, and instead of driving back home via the usual busy routes, we took the back roads and came across Withypool Tea Rooms. This is a nice small boutique style tea room, set in idyllic Exmoor. We ordered a cream tea, and was given two jams for our very large sized scones (no... More

100% clean, welcoming. service, lovely atmosphere, freshly made (and I mean homemade) food, good portions and a total delight after a cold, wet walk across the moor. Haven't found these standards in some Michelin star establishments. The toilets next door are of an equally high standard.

Came here after finishing practice expedition for gold DofE with East Grinstead Scouts. Service was good, the scones came with both strawberry and blackcurrant jam. Very satisfied!

After a hard days walking in the beautiful valley that surrounds Withypool, my wife and I (and Fidget the dog) sat , in the sunshine, at the picnic tables outside the cafe. The very friendly lady who served us brought out the most amazing cream teas that we've ever had. The scones were delicious and were accompanied by two types... More

Withypool Tea rooms are to found in the centre of this picturesque Village, opposite the local olde worlde Shop and yards from the stone Bridge that spans the River Barle. They are ideally situated, in the heart of Exmoor, as a base or destination for any countryside pursuits that this wonderful area of the Moor has to offer. The Tea Room has been recently renovated in the Winter of 2014, creating a whole new experience. There is a much larger eating area by moving the kitchen into the adjoining building and creating a 5 star food and hygiene premises. We still have the traditionally Victorian pine furniture surrounded by antiques. the Tearooms offer a good choice of Home Made Cakes, freshly filled baguettes, Local pasties and sausages rolls, daily specials for example chillies, lasagnas, quiches etc and other light refreshments and Of course 'the traditional Cream Tea'. Withypool is a truly pretty place and nothing could be nicer than enjoying the peace and tranquillity with a cup of our finest and a slice of cake! Please come along as seen for your self our new improved Tea Room.
