Had the soup of the day - butternut squash- very tasty and decent portion size. Will definitely recommend for a lunch time snack.

After changing our mind about going to the pantry across the road we went here instead for food and oh my goodness this place is a gem! Food is amazing friendly staff we will be going here now when in the area absolutely fantastic
Menu is limited and some items like the veggie bagel are written on a board but not pointed out by staff, so it’s a good thing I saw it as that’s what I ordered. The bagel was delicious and the cappuccino was excellent. The service...was just Ok and the whole experience could be a lot better. Upon entering at lunchtime I walked to the counter and asked for the menu. Scanned the counter and asked about the salads that are all over Instagram and told they only do them in summer. I had to ask if there were seats at the back (the tables were taken in the front) and if I could sit down despite saying I wanted to eat in when asking for the menu. It took 20 minutes for the bagel to arrive. It is a little cramped inside. I banged my head when walking through to the front of the restaurant to pay. There should be a “mind your head” sign above the doorway in the back room. With hindsight I should have sat at the window bar looking out the front. I imagine all the customers are locals who know the staff and are familiar with the offering, seating, ordering etc but as someone from outside the village visiting for the first time it wasn’t particularly welcoming if I’m honest. Lucky to get parking on the high street. Food and coffee were very good as I said.More
Thank you for taking the time to review, we are sorry your visit wasn't totally up to scratch. I will review your thoughts and comments with our staff and provide some more training if necessary. Our food is freshly cooked to order so at busy...More
Really lovely small independent cafe with a small but appealing menu. Food was excellent so tasty and beautifully presented - they we eat with our eyes first and this was certainly the case. Fab service too - can't fault it and will be back
A really delightful lunch with fresh ingredients and interesting combinations. Interesting range of items to buy too.
After a bad experience in another cafe in cuckfield, we went to this super cafe. Food excellent, service friendly and a pleasurable time had. Thank you.
Thank you Tom and your team for making our visit today so enjoyable. What a great brunch menu you offer and fab coffee. We shall be back.
We are soooooo incredibly lucky to have Tom and the team so close. The food is incredible, the coffee and home made cinnamon buns the same and Scarlet, Rosie and Will on hand to deliver incredible service.
I was having the perfect day and didn't think it could get any better until I went to TOMS FOOD, we were served by a lovely, kind, funny waiter who recommended me an AMAZING sausage roll which blew my socks off from how tasty it...was. Would 100% recommend.More
Had a yummy sausage roll and a divine hot chocolate. The waiter was, fast, fun, funny, and overall fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.
Met a friend for lunch and chose Tom's as its local and had good reviews. I have to say the reviews are spot on as I found the food excellent and the service staff very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return again.
Let me start by saying I am a BIG fan of Tom's Food and I am a very regular customer, having purchased approximately 2,348 of his wonderful wild boar sausage rolls, over the last couple of years, at a cost of exactly £4 each. I...usually buy two each time, one for lunch and one for high tea, or more likely, two for lunch. These are monsters, so two for lunch can prove to be a belly buster. This morning I was greeted by a charming young lady who packed up my sausage rolls and sent me on my way. To my horror, these rolls seem to have halved in length and reduced in diameter by 15.2%, meaning that Real Terms Sausage Roll Inflation (RTSRI) in the village of Cuckfield has hit 54% this month. Maybe this was just a poorly cut batch this morning, so I will try again - but at £4 each, the size and plumptiousness must be maintained, or it will be Greggs, from now on. Come on Tom, keep them a decent length and with a wide girth. They need to be wide enough to force me to gurn on the first mouthful, as they always did. By jove, missus! Please don't cut costs, or you may lose one of your most loyal customers.More
Popped by for lunch and delighted with our meal. Welsh rarebit (egg or ham hock options) served with a side salad/pickle. Generous and very tasty. Lovely ambience and service too!
Popped in for lunch and had the most amazing sausage and fennel stew, INCREDIBLE! Everyone in there was lovely and friendly and it has a cosy welcoming atmosphere. Will absolutely visit again
The staff were unwelcoming and one waitress seemed to just wander around totally aimlessly. The food was good, although the menu is very limited. There were a lot of customers on laptops, so maybe this is a place for people on their own with laptops,...rather than couples with children.More
