We had our best meal on Harris here and would highly recommend it (also the beautiful chocolates that they make too). Don't go if you are antisocial as you are sat next to your fellow diners as there is only a small dining space and...you are in watching the chefs prep everything too, which we loved, and the service is fantastic, but might not suit everyone. But great tasting menu food making the best of the local produce. Excellent.More

Discovered this amazing restaurant on Harris. Enjoyed the whole dinning experience. Cosy environment full of interesting people. As we were a 2 we shared a table with a lovely couple and shared stories of our Harris experience. Interacting with the chief and his team added...to the intimacy of the dinning.More

Intimate, entertaining, artistic, exquisite, delicious! If on Harris, do not miss this experience! Make sure to book well in advance, as there is very limited seating. Chris deserves every accolade he’s given, as his love of creating is very obvious. Cheers to Flavour!

We had a wonderful late summers evening at Flavour, from start to finish. We loved the concept of joining others at the table, and were lucky enough to have two first class dining companions to share a table with. They were both as enthusiastic about...the food & matching drinks as we were, which led to an even better experience! Chris' passion for every single item on the plate shone through, with him literally explaining which bits his Mum had grown! The menu was thoughtful, local, classic but with modern twists, and utterly delicious. Was also impressed with the matching wines, cocktails and soft drinks. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.More

We had a great night at Flavour. It is an unusual set up - everyone eats together and the lovely chef, Chris, explains each dish before we eat it. You eat 7 dishes - and all were delicious, interesting and full of locally sourced food...- including lobster, venison, and even parsnips - interestingly incorporated into a white chocolate souffle! I would highly recommend this restaurant - it will surprise and delight you!More

Amazing, what else is there to say about this 'dining experience'. The three hours flew past and I left comfortably full but not overwhelmed. Such a unique and intimate set up. Cooking and plating up done in front of you. You literally have a seat...in the kitchen. Staff were friendly, informative and above all professional. The food was AMAZING and innovative. Highlights for me were: the smoked potato soup, who knew what you could do with the humble potato!, local venison cooked to perfection and showcased with beautiful colourful vegetables, and the parsnip and white chocolate soufflé was divine, the flavours working so well together. Attention to detail was themed through everyone one of the eight courses. Decorated with locally foraged edible flowers, home made artistic parmesan crisps, and intensively flavoured jus, home made cheese and Chris and Nicola Loye have even sourced, roasted and blended their own coffee which is served with his own chocolates. For the food alone this restaurant experience deserves some Michelin stars!More

Flavour was AMAZING and more than worth the price. Every course was delicious and so carefully prepped in front of us. It was a really enjoyable evening from start to finish. A very special mention to the parsnip and white chocolate souffle - I could...not believe how delicious and delicate all the flavours were. The team were all professional and were a pleasure to watch at work. I would come back to Harris just to eat at this restaurant!More

This was a wondeful experience from beginning to end . The food was fantastic and the cocktails perfectly matched. We particularly liked the amuse bouche of mushroom Tataine, the tender venison main course and the beautiful parsnip and white chocolate soufflé with many additions. Just...gorgeous. A wonderful evening to remember. Starting with the canapés we were treated to a series of beautifully executed and tasty dishes. Of particular note was an extraordinary potato soup and an amazing lobster dish, the meal ended with a perfect soufflé. However the rice pudding...was ordinary. Chris was short staffed but still managed to get all the dishes to the table. He is a young man who is very passionate about food and what he serves in his menu. Watch this space. He will go very far indeed.More
