a café that's different, some people might find the menu strange but its still very good, nothing common like fish and chips, try it you will like it I'm sure. The food is not only good it is beautifully presented and the staff is very efficient although could be a little more personable. the prices are realistic especially the coffee.... More

Very conveniently located, especially if you are visiting the Friday morning open air market and / or WI stalls very near by. Great selection of food (including vegetarian) in straightforward ambience with mildly alternative vibe.

Whenever I come here I always go for the homemade soup. You serve yourself and you can get free refills. Every time I've been it's been absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and there's always such a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

This is a what every cafe should aspire to...fresh locally sourced superb ingredients, proper cooking especially imaginative and very tasty vegetarian dishes like butternut tagine with loads of lovely almonds, juicy raisins. Serve yourself to a generous helping of delicious homemade leek, pea & mint soup with the best bread buns ever. Good coffee of course, all sensibly priced too.... More

On visiting Llandrindod Wells from Newbury, we felt we had to drop in here, if only to see the famous "order here" sign referred to in an earlier comment response. We were not disappointed. It is very large and we were able to spot it immediately on entering. The sign is very well made and the creator should be pleased... More

Amazing homemade food with a lush menu and lush workers, open kitchen so could see all that was going on! The coleslaw and humous is to die for, which is made by Shirley! And the choccy milkshakes are so good! 100% recommend to the older generation, not recommended for youngsters, I would describe it as a organic sort of place... More

We have been calling in at the Herb Garden for many years to eat breakfast - would highly recommend the bacon sandwich on fresh granary bread with homemade plum source - on our way south to Cardiff to watch the rugby. There is a real sense of a warm local community in the cafe. Service has always been good, and... More

Noticed this place tucked way behind the main street. Has a real community feel about it. Liked the way the tables had different herb names. Soup was good and you helped yourself from a pot. Sandwiches etc were reasonably priced. Would recommend going after 12pm for the specials.

I wish I didn't have to rush off from my lovely lunch as I was on a tight time schedule. The cafe is tucked away in a row of shops and has an amazing menu. The hot food all looks fab. I ordered a special from the board and it delicious and a large portion too. The cafe caters for... More

The Herb Garden (2 doors down from the Oxfam shop) is truly super exceptional !! We simply cannot criticise this amazing 'eating house'. The staff are extremely friendly and particularly efficient. Every year we come up to Llandrindod Wells and eat at the Herb Garden regularly throughout the holiday. There is a large sign over the counter which asks you... More
