Lovely lunch in this fab place - best fish pie I’ve ever tasted. Friendly, helpful staff, good selection of wine and really good menu choice including gluten free options - will definitely return very soon

Our wine was watered down for sure - or not very nice wine for the price of a decent one (£8 something per glass). When we complained about it, got a very acerbic reply. The atmosphere is good though and friendly place otherwise.

As the title says, food was excellent but service was in all fairness, slightly lacking. That said, we would definitely return.

We stayed here overnight during the festive period and were very happy with our courtyard rooms - very tastefully decorated, although the outdoor tables nearby attract noisy smokers which isn’t so great. We had two meals, one a large family celebration, the other just the...More

Arrived for lunch, found a table, was just about to order drinks and lunch when a staff member asked if we would change to a smaller table so a bigger party could have our table. Being reasonable folk we agreed. We gave up our table...More

We were squeezed in at 9:30 pm on a busy Saturda evening after our previously booking let us down, as 8 guys it was hard to fit anywhere. Thanks to the Bear for great burgers and beer. Busy but no issues getting surved.
