Nice interior, lots of choice on the menu. That said, I have had better bife de chorizo and the service was a bit surly. Pasta was acceptable but nothing special.

Wow - that is all we can say! The food is amazing and very fresh and so tasty. Huge serves and a struggle to eat it all. We dined here 2 nights of our 3 night stay in El Chalten. The restaurant is very popular with tourists and locals and we saw heaps of people that were trekking during the... More

Service was charming and the food imaginative. We had lamb ravioli and it was well done and good portions. Highly recommended

We have to be on the waiting list for about 40 minutes here because we just show up . The foods were very delicious. We had trouts and steak. Both were very tasty. If we are here again, we will come back to this place for our dinner.

Good varied food. Atmosphere and prices on the high end for the village but good meal and friendly staff

Arrived early, around 7pm, to ensure we got a table and it was soon full with people being turned away. The food was delicious and the service very efficient and friendly. Though we do not speak Spanish we always try a bit and I think this makes a big difference with the service you receive.

Everyone in town raves about La Tapera so expectations were set probably unreasonably high. The food was very good but not remarkable. The presentations were gorgeous, portions were large, and food tasty...but the service left a poor taste in my mouth. Each interraction with our server resulted in disappointment whether it was the wrong wine, ignored requests, or the eyerolls.

We came here ravenous after a long day trek to Tres Laguna. The food is delicious and the restaurant very cosy/romantic. It's the perfect treat after a long day trekking around El Chalten and the staff very friendly. Definitely recommend for a hearty, romantic dinner in El Chalten.

The restaurant has great ambiance, service was good even though it was packed. Food was excellent and large portions That being said... they Do Not Accept Credit Cards and there is NO warning before. We ended up paying with dollars and peso but was quite unpleasant Too expensive not to accept cc or at least warn.
