Went with family (party of 13 with 3 kids under 10 and 2 octogenarians) to this restaurant for a family dinner. This reservation was made on my behalf by my nephew even before I got to Ibadan. For covenience, we ordered food using the set...menu plan B. Folks ate, food tasted good and we asked for the left over (a lot of food- since 8 people ate kid portion sizes) to be packed in To Go boxes, the soft spoken waitress said "this is buffett and we can't do that"...I was shocked. So she offered to speak with her manager who did not show her face but according to the waitress affirmed what the waitress had shared earlier. I asked to speak with the manager and expressed my concern and utmost disappointment in the establishment that came well recommended. The menu never said anything about buffett, the meals were not served buffett style, platters were brought to our table. After paying almost 129k with 6 kids total....This is the worst restaurant experience I've had on this trip to Nigeria, given that I've spent a week restaurant hopping in Lagos and receiving service comparable to any restaurant in the world. The waitresses are sweet and tried their best to serve our large party of 13. The manager came back, I guess after speaking with the owner and they agreed to pack our left over and charged for the to go containers (fair IMO). I hope they learn that their clientele is diverse and come with diverse experiences expecting nothing but industry standard service. The establishment should also strive for full disclosure and not spring surprises on clients paying their hard earned cash for a service. Making a notation on the menu card that the set meals are considered "buffett" is a 1st step!More

Overall experience good. The food was surprisingly good and tasty with generous portion sizes. Slightly on the expensive side, but it's worth the extra dosh. Pros - Nice staff - Nice ambience - Clean seats Opinion I ordered beef but it was rotten inside. They said it was due to the electricity turning off and I ordered another dish instead. I did not have to pay for the spoilt beef....The vegetable fried rice was nice. I wish they had more sauce options (they had soy sauce and chilli sauce when I was there). The sautéed veg with garlic was delicious. The green tea tasted overcooked, possibly because they use a coffee maker to make it. The prices are great, except for the prawn main dish — even more expensive than London! Not a wide range of alcohol beverages but the Chapman I ordered (non-alcoholic) was nice. Overall a nice experience but I may look elsewhere for the things this place lacks.More

I don’t think I have been to a worse restaurant in my life ,terrible customer service, waited over an hour for them to even take our order then they served spoilt food. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy

I was at Ibachi last weekend with a group of friends and i tell you, it is a very awesome place to be, it's china brought to our country, the workers were neatly dressed and so very customer friendly. The environment was very well kept,...during our stay, we were opportune to meet the CEO and he's nothing less than a FATHER. My experience at Ibachi was terrible. It was my friend’s birthday so we decided to have dinner there with some other friends. Apart from the fact that the waitress was rude almost 80% of the time we were told we would have to pay a...sum of 25k to take pictures inside the restaurant. It’s absurd... we requested to see the manager and he said and I quote “there are no Chinese restaurants in the world that allow customers take pictures” according to him it is a global standard.More

One of the waitresses got our orders wrong... Twice! (A cocktail and a Meal) We had to accept it. They also tried to pass off a meal as something it wasn't, something I had tried before at a different restaurant in Lagos (Shiro), the only...reason I ordered it at Ibachi was because I liked what I'd eaten at Shiro. Compared to the Chinese restaurants I've been to, this restaurant isn't even pricey at all and that's a good thing, the ambience too is great, but has a very cheap feel to it. Everything was honestly marred by the food they tried to pass off, the waitress who got our orders wrong and the Loud blending done right beside our table by one of the waitresses. Also, the food wasn't that great and didn't match up to the standards of other Chinese restaurants I've been to. I also cannot forget the terrible cocktails we got... Lord!More

I cannot think of one thing that I didn't like about this restaurant! Beautiful environment, patrons well respected, excellent staffs, sumptuous meals, etc It is the place to host friends. Well managed and not your typical Ibadan restaurant

The new Ibachi at Bodija surely is a great place to have a decent meals with friends. The atmosphere was serene and classy and is reminiscent of a Chinese ambience. The staff were quite professional and the meal really tasty.
