We had a family day when we visited Tagaytay. On our way home, around 12 noon, we searched for a place/resto for lunch. Amazed with the signage of KaRey "99 unlimited rice meals", we dropped by and were attracted with their big kubo and unique sign "we're barefoot". So we entered and sat on the vacant seat. The resto were... More

When we arrived , we were welcomed by this signage "We 're barefooted" (We first experienced this at Ka LUi's in Palawan), so i'd say interesting. They already moved to a bigger place at the back of the original Kubo location. On the food, thumbs up for taste, a bit pricey for the place, but for the budget conscious, thumbs... More

Food are cooked with the owner herself. Most of her menus are delicacies of Samar and Leyte. Home cooked! Her bulalong Samar (dialect: Lauya) is as delicious as the authentic bulalong Batangas. Dinuguan, Samar Express and Pancit are my favourites. She offers a complimentary dessert.

Located along the National Road, between Camella and Pink Sisters. Parking available infront or at the side. It's quite difficult to locate this because of it's very simple kubo structure. Just take note of their "99 Meal" Tarpaulin. The interior will make you miss the "probinsya or kubo" life. Delicious food. Reasonable price. Refreshing Drinks. Friendly staff. A liitle downside... What is good here is that food is cooked by the owner and is served hot! It exemplifies a true home cooked cuisine. For tourists who are into local food, try this place. It's not only the food that is very Filipino even the set up of the restaurant and the hospitality of the owner. This is just a small... More
