Just fantastic place and food. George loves his job and you will find traditional food there. Try kotsi which is cooked six hours and taste all the salads.

We stopped here to get some lunch before a late flight home from Chania airport. Food and service were excellent. We went for the fixed price menu, which was good value for money. Would recommend, and would visit again if we are ever in the area. Although if you have a flight to catch, leave a couple of hours...They are... More

Picked this place on the way back from Stavros beach. Everything was fantastic. Service was excellent. Food was great. They even sampled a plate of Cretan pilaf for our table to try. It was great.

We discovered this restaurant on our second night in Crete and we keep going back because it is SO good. We have not been disappointed with anything we have ordered. The stuffed aubergine rolls and the stuffed courgette flowers are especially tasty and the quality of the meat is excellent. What makes it extra-special is the warmth of the welcome... More

This is not the case of a famous or fancy place at Chania. It's mostly a local meat taverna well known at Cretans. It is specialized at meat, especially "kotsi". The environment is decent and the service is good. Very good prices.

Very friendly atmosphere, good service! Food is delicious. Meet and fish was shown focus before cooking to show its freshness. Highly recommended!

There are some truly awful restaurants in Crete, so people staying in Chania should make the effort to jump in a taxi and visit Bourakis. This is the real deal: outstanding local food, freshly prepared daily, a genuinely warm welcome, incredibly low prices.

We ate here 5 times in 11 days simply because the service, food and value was unbeatable. Its a family run cretan taverna where 'mum' cooks and all the rest of the family serves. They made my children feel very special and even made some Baclava on request which would have won any great British bake off competition! Try the... More

Great little family restaurant just outside Chania. Superb food and local atmosphere and very friendly service and hospitality from the owners. A real pleasure to visit.

When asked what kind of cuisine they most enjoyed, our friends answered unpretentious cooking that make people fell at home. The food featured in our menu have derived from an ethnic home style tradition "peasant food" created by hardworking people who cooked for themselves using minimal equipment, fresh and local products and simple cooking methods.
