Went here on Saturday night and it was lovely. The food, the ambiance and the service, especially Amber who was so friendly and helpful. We had the garlic flat bread with feta stuffed olives to start which was delicious and then I had the battered garlic and buttermilk haloumi with Greek salad and crushed baby potatoes which was divine and... Wife and I ate at the Ashcott this Wednesday lunchtime. Lovely service and nice atmosphere, nothing to much trouble for the staff. Wife asked for Gluten Free menu and one appeared in an instant! The food was of the highest quality, well presented and reasonably priced. I will be bringing the family out for lunch here in the very near... More

Stopped here on our way back from Street, for a Birthday meal. So glad we did. Clean, smart, and great food. Husbands starter of crispy squid had a thumbs up, followed by pork belly with smashing crackling. The plaice in breadcrumbs lovely white fish and great lemon sorbet to finish. All served with a smile and helpful advice for a... More

After looking for some time for a good pub/restaurant to take friends and visitors, hey presto - we have found it! The Ashcott Inn provided not only a relaxing and very stylish venue, the service and food were excellent and very well presented. I strongly recommend it and it has certainly gone to the top of my list. It has... More

We stopped at The Ashcott on route home from a break away. It was a Sunday evening. We followed signs off the main road to the ring o bells at Catcott and the king William inne. One was open but looked like a dive and one was shut. We had given up hope of finding somewhere offering decent food which... More

I have just returned from having the most superb meal I have eaten in a long time.! We rang yesterday to order a Chateubriand in celebration of my birthday and we were not disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender to the last mouthful, the veg was cooked to perfection and the stroganoff sauce we had asked for was... More

Three of us lunched here on Tue 25 April. The car park is well laid out with disabled access (no steps) into the rooms from the disabled parking bay. Inside, the decor is pleasant, modern but in keeping with the building, a former coaching inn on the Bath Road. We ate off the fixed price menu which had plenty of... More

The waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. The vegetarian Nut Roast was tasty and homemade, and a delicious dessert to follow at a very reasonable price. There was a further vegetarian choice on the normal menu that we could have had too. Several of my group only wanted small portions so they ordered a child"s portion which was still a... More
