We headed here after a rave review in Lonely Planet, but were disappointed by the length of time it took to receive two hamburgers when the place was empty. The wait was easily over an hour, and the soft drink options were also limited. The menu is extensive and if you are after Mexican it appears to have you covered.... More

Mind you I am writing this review during the winter season of Chile and after a recet outbreak of red algae around the island. The restaurant was virtually empty at 1:30 on a Wednesday and took little over an hour for me and three friends to get a burger. Our server tried to appease with giving us bread but the... More

We came here due to a Lonely Planet review. The food all came in large portions. The Tex-mex food was very good. They have an impressive list of house cocktails that are not to be missed. While it is open all day it becomes most crowded late at night. It has numerous lounge spaces for big groups to hang out.... More

So we continue in the track of good sandwiches and burgers, and this is a must in Ancud. I haven´t seen a burger this big since the States, it was humongous, and great! As usual the service was slow, it took them about an hour to bring us the burger, but in the meant time we had some drinks and... More

Both my sons ordered hamburgers which came with fries. My oldest had cheese, fried onion rings and bacon and the hugest homemade pattie I've ever seen. We took them home and they had them later for supper. The adults had a seafood pizza which was had a thin crust flavorful cheese and lots of mussels and shrimp. I think it... More

We went for lunch and had wanted burgers but when we went to order apparently they couldn't do any burgers. So we instead ordered the bourbon pizza which was good though a bit soupy and it had corn on it which the menu didn't state. The place was comfortable but the tv had the news on in the other room... I have lived in Chile for a year and half and I have learned to really enjoy Chilean food. Having said that, the food in Ancud is TERRIBLE. Retro's Pub produces average food with good cocktails, but it is also the only restaurant worth spending your money at, in all of Ancud. If you haven't committed/arrived to Ancud yet, then... More

I've spent several weeks in Ancud because my organization works in partnership with a local NGO here. So I eat and hang out here all the time. The food and service are great and the atmosphere is very nice. I am a huge fan of the Churrasco Mixto sandwich. The owners have a good library of live concert DVDs and... More
