Popped in for a tea and cake. Had a slice of banoffee cake with a cup of loose leaf tea with the hubby. Cake was delicious! Would recommend 😊

Came here for a Sunday outing with the girlfriend and was delighted by a friendly welcome, wonderful food and excellent coffee. Reasonably priced and would definitely return again if I’m ever in the area again! Thanks

Popped in whilst waiting for a shop to open. The young couple were very friendly and welcoming. Ordered a flat white coffee and a ginger and orange millionaire’s slice, just gorgeous, the flavours complimented each other perfectly. I ordered a second coffee but resisted another...More

Such a cosy little place to pop in for afternoon tea after a long winter walk. Particularly love the sandwiches as they always fill them to the brim. Gorgeous selection of hot drinks as well.

Called in for my normal cappuccino after an early morning bike ride. They do porridge-with honey! Who knew. I can recommend it as it was lovely. Ideal on a crisp autumnal morning. The dry cappuccino was great too as always. Thanks Fika.

Our favourite breakfast spot when staying in Uppermill. Great food, pleasant staff, and a lovely view of the river - you can watch dippers and grey wagtails foraging while you eat.

Lovely Homemade soup (Tomato and red pepper) and sandwich (Ploughmans) combo with specials on offer and views of the river. Had a chat and relax with a brew of Yorkshire after. Plenty of room inside for all sizes and easy access from the town centre....More

SERIOUS COMMENT::: DO NOT GO TO KITTY'S!!!!! Unless you're VERY hungry!! The afternoon tea, which I and a friend had this afternoon, was gorgeous!! I had chicken and stuffing on brown, with a cherry scone, clotted cream - bye bye diet! Well, for today - and jam. Also there were 2 not so small slices of cake, 2 slices EACH!! I say not so small, they'd choke a donkey! My companion in food crime had the same except for a cheese and Branston - other pickles are available - butty instead of my chicken. We really enjoyed it. Oh yes, a proper, loose leaf pot of tea as well. The cost? £9.50 each, which, given the prices I've seen elsewhere, is good. Its still £9.50 but its a lovely treat! Thank you, Kitty and your lovely young ladies! They do you proud by the way. I don't know who our waitress was but she was really sweet and so prompt to look after us. Please would you tell me about your breakfasts? Thank you. Andrew Marsh. OK, I've forgotten to tell you something else. We didnt eat 3slices of cake so our waitress offered to box them up for us so we could take them home. Being a gent, I gave my uneaten piece of choccy cake to my friend to take for her dog, maybe. No, I said she could take it for her mum. Thanks for reading this.
