Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This Ramen restaurant is a must-visit at the end of a trip to Asahikawa or the central part of Hokkaido. It's a typical Miso Ramen with a butter and corn topping, but when you eat it, you'll feel like "I enjoyed Hokkaido!". The Ramen restaurant is located near Asahikawa station. The interior of it may look like a typical public diner, but the lack of eccentricity makes it a safe place to enjoy your Ramen. All of the Ramen is much larger than it looks. The butter topping mellows the soup, but it shouldn't be too rich. I think everyone, young and old, can enjoy the flavor of the Ramen.

Good location for ramen. Simple. I got the miso vegetable Ramen which were very tasty. I had to queue for 20 min but really worth it.

Not all ramen are created equal. There are salty, brown-coloured, broths and milky-coloured ones. But which restaurants really strike the perfect balance of flavoursome soup base to soft, silky noodles to extra ingredients? What is the secret that sets one ramen join apart from another? Who is top of the broths? My mission to find the best ramen took me to Asahikawa Ramen Village in Hokkaido. The broth is pretty rich here. For the full-on indulgence, go for the charsiew ramen miso. Make sure to add in the butter, just because you can. The gyoza is a worthwhile side. Overall, the food was good but not memorable but I can think of 50 other places I can get the same or better quality ramen. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

First tried it a couple of years back, and still as good as old time. Thick umami shoyu broth with crunchy cone and butter give you the authentic Hokkaido ramen experience. Restaurant is at basement of a building, bigger space than the Santoku Honten, friendly staff too.

...but it lacked the wow factor. Just a good bowl of ordinary ramen. I enjoyed it and the staff was friendly and helpful, but I certainly feel no compulsion to go back. If I was living here I might but since I’m visiting, I’m gonna try out some other places for ramen that I’m reading about.

Most famous Ramen in Hokkaido. You should try. My favorite one is corn and butter soy Ramen. Very tasty. But most of the times you should get in line, which is very usual in japan ramen resto. 😁👍

One of the famous "Asahikawa Ramen" shops. Surely Syouyu (soy sause) type is the most famous fraver. This shop's soup comes from pig bones and fish and covered by lard. It is not soly.. bold and smooth tastes. This is the Asahikawa style! I like it. I will try Sio or Miso next time. And Sapporo Beer is very good tastes too! 初北海道で、旭川=ラーメンのイメージで老舗にお邪魔しました。 味は濃くもありながら、スッキリしていてスープは全て飲み干しました。。

The taste is good and easy to order. The vegetables are fresh. Just notice that it opens in HK, Taiwan & Singapore. It is good to find it elsewhere.

I can't recommend you'll go to this restaurant. First, their noodles are not good. And then the register's service was really poor, just because my paying was wrong. You should look for another restaurant.

Two blocks from the station along the pedestrian mall and a flight of stairs to the basement sits this Ramen joint. I had the Salted Ramen, a big bowl, half filled with many thick slices of Japanese roast pork! Yummy! And it was so filling for the "light" ramen lunch that I was seeking for! Displayed on the walls insided this place are so many Japanese (and a few English) acknowledgements and signatures...with most probably vouching for the quality of the ramen here. Another sign of its popularity is the long queue I encountered even though it was close to 2pm when I got here.

Visited the place during my brief stop at Asahikawa on our way back to Sapporo. The place is 10 minutes away from the station at the basement level of a building. The place is fairly small, only few tables. I tried butter ramen with corn and believe me the ramen was so delicious that i finished the big portion in minutes. They gave free water and the price is reasonable. Will be back when i visit Asahikawa. They have branch in Singapore if im not mistaken
