Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had some delicious miso butter corn ramen and some gyoza. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. When we left there was a line at the door waiting to come in.

Ordered miso and shoyu, we liked the miso hands down! Thick noodles and flavorful taste. The price is reasonable and highly recommended. Friendly servers too...

If you search for shoyu ramen this is the place. I will compare it with aoba. For me this place is the winner. With aoba maybe because it's old heritage so they use too much of soy sauce on their ramen. However the tenkin style ramen i think it's balance not too much of soy sauce. It's a little bit creamier than aoba, it it like miso flavour and the chasiu is better. I know it sounds degrade the aoba. But if you are not into creamier broth taste aoba should be your choice. sometimes they have a long line but when i came in there. there was no line at all. Texture of the ramen is a bit soft for me. Beansprouts are good and my dad ordered the corn one and he said no need to ordered the extra corn. just ordered their shoyu ramen

Very child friendly with baby seat and cutleries. Shoyu ramen was really flavorful with menma and chasiu slices. The gyoza was really good too. Miso ramen is also recommended!

Found this place through online reviews. We had to wait for quite awhile to get a seat however turnover was pretty quick & they were well organised. Service is friendly & attentive. Simple restaurant focusing on what they do best, ramen. English menu available. We had the shoyu chasiu ramen with a side of gyoza. The gyoza was just okay. However the ramen was really good. Light yet rich broth. Thick pieces of charsiu that were tender & melt in your mouth. Noodles itself were springy with a nice bite to it. Overall a real delight. Good to the last drop. Highly recommended.

Asahikawa is famous for the shoyu ramen and so we had to try some. Ramenya's soy sauce ramen is really pretty good. The noodles were cooked just right - al dente - and springy in texture, while the broth is thick and tasty. The char siew was a tad on the fat side. But overall, was very good ramen. We also tried the shio ramen just for fun but the shoyu was much better. The shoyu broth had a sweeter taste compared to the shio. We went to their shop in town (not ramen village) and it's not easy to find. Hidden in a small pedestrian lane with yellow lanterns. If you are staying at either Dormy Inn, Loiser, or Grand Asahikawa, it's between a 3-7 minute walk from each. Ask the concierge. We ate just before noon time Sunday and by the time we left, the tables were filling up pretty quick. The wait staff know a little English but most just order the Shoyu ramen there.

After being disappointed by the Taisetsu Brewery, my boyfriend and I took to the streets asking locals where the best recommended ramen spot was. Most people agreed, Tenkin was the place to go. We both ordered the Shouyu (soy sauce) base ramen, Butter and Corn style ( since we're in Hokkaido and why not! ). The broth was rich in meaty, onion, and salt flavors and the butter seemed to enhance the tastes as it melted into the soup. Surprisingly, this shop even has an English menu. Their hall of fame of famous customer signatures dating over a decade back makes you certain that you've made the right choice as you slurp away at your bowl! The shop is several blocks from the JR station and most locals could probably point you in the right direction!

At Tenkin, soy sauce is written as shoyu. As an aside, the ramen shop I went to in Kushiro also lists it as shoyu on the menu. This time, I ordered the shoyu vegetable ramen. I deliberately skipped the hotel breakfast and had brunch instead. When you think of Tenkin, you think of the sharpness of their soy sauce. The excellent soup made from pork and chicken was once again irresistibly delicious. The noodles are medium-thin, curly noodles with low water content. This is the ultimate Asahikawa ramen. The ingredients are bean sprouts, green peppers, Chinese cabbage, green onions, chopped pork, and minced meat. I would order this amount of vegetables for an extra 100 yen. The crisply fried vegetables are the best. The soup is layered with fat, as is typical of Asahikawa, a cold region. The aroma of dried sardines is strong, and the taste is not strong at all. The flavors of dried sardines and pork bones are mixed in a complex way. The soup, made with pork bones and chicken carcasses, is very rich. The aroma of soy sauce and the sweetness of lard and vegetables blend together perfectly to create a delicious dish.
