Lovely Greek food, lamb melts in the mouth, great fish dishes, nice touch of raki and cake or fruit afterwards. The only niggle is it takes about 30 mins to eventually get the bill, but that's because it is so popular I suppose?

We always visit the Gorgona, partly due to the family link to Costas & Chrysoula accomodation, but also its location at the edge of the sea. This year the renovations following last years seafront fire, are complete, and it now sports a spanking new glass sided restaurant area, with a leak proof roof, newly refitted kitchen, new toilets, a real... Food fine but group of German tourists inflicted their smoke on the rest of the enclosed Taverna. Unfortunately the Greeks allow them to get away with this illegal activity for fear of upsetting them. The majority suffer however. Will not return.

We really enjoyed our lunch . The portions were big and the tastes unique. I strongly recommend the grilled vegetables ith cheese and balsamic. You love it. Also I had the best risotto with vegetables. Youhave to try it.

Have visited Plakias 4 times and never had a poor meal at Gorgona be it breakfast, lunch or evening meal. Service from Georgos, Vangelis and Joanna is always brilliant and having systematically worked my way through the menu I have no hesitation in recommending the Taverna to anyone. Try the Lamb, Fish and especially Rabbit stifado Thanks to everyone at... More

Struggling a bit in 2015 with no roof after the fire, the Gorgona (and its team of Goran (Jorgus) and Vangelis) is now back to full strength with amazing food and great service and hospitality. The new building now allows outside eating again and the revamped kitchens have definitely improved the food...although that might have something to do with the... More

The staff at Gorgona couldn't be more helpful and the food was excellent, particularly the seafood! One of the waiters had a good sense of humour and brought us Raki and cake saying they were antibiotics and vitamins! Breakfast is good here too!

Went for brunch after a morning on the beach, service was lovely, food just right and plenty of choice for breakfast. Smoothie and milkshakes were especially good - so would be great for families. Wish we tried a cocktail from the extensive list!

Great view, location and good choice of food. Staff friendly. The seafood was our choice with fresh fish.
