We didn't plan on visiting any touristy areas but when we arrived home late over the Easter period and all local restaurants were shut we headed down to Plakias. We arrived at Tasomanolis at 10.30pm but they were so friendly and happy to serve us. We had superb fresh fish. We had assumed that restaurants in the tourist ares would... More

As title says nice sunset from this lovely fish restaurant. Fish excellent and fresh, prices on par with other places and service good from this family run taverna. Boss also runs his own boat trips.

Lovely fresh sea bass and swordfish for my birthday dinner, both from the daily specials menu. Zucchini flowers stuffed with rice were very good too. When they found out it was my birthday they brought cake with a sparkler. Excellent service, right on the waterfront - couldn't be better. Very reasonable prices by Greek standards.

This seafood restaurant seems very popular as it is full at prime dinner time. They have a good selection of fresh fish as well as other dishes. Situated close to the sea with great view. Beautiful sunset!

The restaurant is on a little back street in Plakias, they do great little salads, would recommend the Greek and Cretan and when I say little the portions are huge and a bargain at the price.. Fish and fresh grilled fresh fro you on the grill.

We came here for dinner. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered house white wine which was good everywhere in Crete and very inexpensive. Fish tasted fresh to me and they tell you which ones are the catch of the day. Price was also good. I definitely think this is a place you'll like in Plakias.

Beautiful fresh fish, very accommodating staff, a memorable meal on both occasions we have eaten here - especially for a birthday celebration. Lovely location and lots of menu choices.

The service was great and the food was OK, but the prices were too high. While we were eating, there was a delivery of frozen fish from another part of Greece (Kefalonia). The tavern is literally on the waterfront. They should use fresh fish from Crete and not frozen fish that they bought and are selling for 52 euros per... More

Perfect choice for those who want to try a traditional Cretan meal of excellent nutrition & high-nutritional-value Omega 3 (fish) oil, which contribute to a healthy living! By Cretans this is excellent quality fresh fish, just like those from Tasomanolis' boat's day's catch, which by the way you can choose yourselves beforehand and ask the waitor to choose which one...
