Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently organised my sister's hen in Feakle. We had dinner in Peppers. The food was top class (also catered very well for our vegan and coeliac).Gary and his team were very welcoming and looked after us very well. The atmosphere was electric. IF PEPPERS...DID HEN PARTIES, THEY WOULD PROBABLY BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD😃🥰More

A truly wonderful weekend had in the rolling hills of Feakle made all the more enjoyable by happening upon this haven of culinary delights! This wonderful country pub and restaurant is the embodiment of Irish hospitality. From the warm welcome to the array of agricultural...machinery passing the road outside, you were sure form the beginning you were in the depths of rural Ireland. We chose to sit outside as the weather was warm for once. The Guinness was creamy, the cider sparkling and the roast beef simply mouthwatering. Our visit was made more enjoyable by the witty banter and friendly nature of the staff/owner. Couldn't be better. #willbeback.More

Peppers Bar & Restaurant is a quite famous institution in east Clare. Set in a very rural area Peppers is considered something of a cultural hub, famous for its Irish music and a music festival every August. There is a full menu serving home-cooked main...dishes plus starters and desserts to choose from. The menu includes Irish bacon and cabbage, excellent beef and Guinness casserole, roast leg of lamb, fish and chips, steak and cheese burgers. We sampled the local Peppers pale ale which was good and popular with the locals. There is a strong community identity in the pub with a nice mix of tourists and locals. Worth a visit.More

A lovely little pub nestling under the hills of killanena on the way to Scarriff and Killaloe a beautiful scenic area. Had food which was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. A very welcome athmosphere and friendly people I would have loved to be there for...the trade session which apparently attracts a lot of people from far and wide. Definitely worth a visit.More

My sister and I spent a lovely afternoon driving around East Clare and came upon this place which had a warm look about it. We got a menu and had bangers&mash/Cajun chicken with a dessert and a beer. Really nice food. Warm friendly staff. A...place that would be really lovely in winter when the fire is blazing and the music is going. Very enjoyable.More

Pepper's is a quaint pub and restaurant located in Feakle, Ireland. It's well known with all the locals. Garry, the owner is so warm and friendly, as is his wife. The food is EXCELLENT prepared by the owners son, who is a trained chef. We...stopped here at least 4 times during our travels in Ireland. It's a MUST to stop and feel what an Irish pub should feel and look like.More

We wanted the best local experience we could get so we asked our hostess where we should go and she said "PEPPERS" they will pick you all up and bring you home and all you have to do is eat there. They have traditional music...every Wednesday and Sunday so off we went on a Sunday evening and we thoroughly enjoyed the food ,the drink AND the music that followed so much that we made arrangements to go back the following Wednesday. We had the Fish and Chips and the "MUSHY PEAS" ( it looks like THICK PEA SOUP and is delicious) and the Fried Squid and Chips and both were delicious and a Guinness that was creamy and a Guinness or 3 with a double shot of BLACK CURRANT that was OUTSTANDING and tasted even better then the original.More

Amongst the working farms with little else for miles is a wonderful bar and restaurant with charm, good food, and amazing local musicians who gather and spontaneously combust. We stopped here in early December on our way back to Gort, it wasn't busy but there was still a lovely atmosphere here, friendly locals having lunch and drinks, the fire was on and the staff were lovely, we had great old fashioned (i mean...that as a compliment) tasting ham sandwiches and beautiful soup. The dinner menu also looks really good and wholesome. I'm a big fan of Ale and happened to meet the gentleman who makes Loudons Ale onsite, it's an amazing drink. It is also in a beautiful part of Clare often overlooked by it's more famous neighbouring North Clare but not one to be missed.More

This is the most charming Irish pub. Cozy and quaint and our meal was just outstanding. We ordered from the daily special menu and could not be more pleased with the hot and delicious meal we were served. Peppers is a little out of the...way but well worth the visit for either lunch or dinner. We had a very nice chat with the proprietors, Great people!More
