We booked a dinner for our wedding anniversary. Both the front of house and our waitress were aware of that fact and wished us all the best, which was a lovely, personal touch. We had scallops to start, then fishermans platters with side of chips and cheescake for dessert. I really regret not taking more photos. Scallops were perfectly cooked and fishermans platter was good value for money. Cheescake was to die for. The wine also very good. For three courses each, some soft drinks and two large glasses of wine our bill came to £60-odd. Excellent value for money. We were actually regretting that we only booked for one meal.

We happened to visit Lochinver when there was a power cut! The staff at Peet's did their best to provide cold food (cheese platter & dessert) for me and allowed my husband to bring in fish and chips from the local van to eat in as the weather was so awful. The staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. We went back the next day and enjoyed pizza!!

Stopped by for lunch and sat outside because we were with our dog. However, the service was very good and i still think about the salmon I had, it was truly amazing. My partner had venison which was really good too. Don't come here if you want to eat pizza, they do great fresh local produce very well.

We were staying at Clachtoll Beach during our recent tour of the nc500. We had booked into Peet’s Restaurant so that we had somewhere to eat for dinner during our trip. Dinner was booked for 8pm as we thought this was suitable to our plans. Upon arrival at the restaurant the staff were friendly and took us to our table, viewing to the window and harbour views. A waitress brought over menus and said that she would return in a few minutes to take our order. We waited around 15 minutes to have our drinks order taken and we ordered our meals now as we were hungry. Around a further 15 minutes, our drinks and starters arrived. Food was nice and we were looking forward to our mains. After finishing our starters, we waited an hour, for our mains to come. We had ordered three pizzas (not much to make) which is why we were wondering why the wait? There was only 8 tables seated for dinner, two of which were a family of four. Our waitress did not apologise once for the delay in our meals coming or offered to get us more drinks during our wait. The waitress was nice and friendly and spoke to us while we were setting up the bill, but was looking forward to our meal and this ruined it as we didn’t finish our food as it was too late to eat. I’ve read reviews that the restaurant are doing their best with current situation but I feel they could do much better. As I said it wasn’t busy, but a simply ‘were sorry for your wait, we will have your food out asap’ wouldn’t go a miss and would be appreciated by customers.

Been for a Thursday night dinner as we were staying locally in Lochinver for a night didn't know if we had to book a table. Due to very less option of restaurants to choose from we opted for Peet's as it was seafood restaurant. The waitress serving us was very welcoming and attentive equally the food we ordered was the best I ever had during our 3 year visit to the west and North coast of Scotland. From the soup of the day to the desert served was ace. kuddos! To the women working there tirelessly to serve quality food. Would definitely visit next year during our Highland gateway!!!

My boyfriend and I went to Peet's for dinner while staying at the Tigh na Sith B&B in Lochinver. The restaurant was a short walk away from where we were staying and it was very clean, following Scottish govt Covid guidelines throughly, and modern. The service was excellent, we were seated quickly and the waiting staff checked in with us regularly, they were all lovely to talk to. I’m a vegetarian and had the halloumi special to start and then the homemade pesto pasta, my boyfriend had the haggis tower to start and then the teuchters chicken - both were absolutely delicious, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We were also pleasantly surprised when we got the bill as it was extremely reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Peet's if you’re staying in Lochinver or even just passing through.

This was our first meal out since lockdown and happily it coincided with Peet's reopening night. Although there were other choices on the menu, why wat in a fishing port and have something other than fish? I started with very delicious scallops - would love to know the recipe! Served with gorgeous soft bread, probably home-made but I failed to ask. My husband had a huge portion of very tender calamari. We then both opted for the cold seafood plate. So yummy. A huge portion too. There was hot and cold smoked salmon, crab, mussels, salmon pate, mackeral and langoustines. Served with salad and more good bread. I felt for the staff, getting used to new routines and regulations but they did a wonderful job. All were very courteous and polite and very efficient. Highly recommend.

What a treat Peet's restaurant was. This was our 30th wedding anniversary and we were hoping for something a bit special and boy it so was. The covid precautions that were in place were excellent and well explained. We were initially served by DJ who proved to be an efficient and very personable young man. Then Elaine served us and again we enjoyed her efficiency and loveliness. We watched as they made safe tables and seating for incoming guests. So thoroughly done. In fact we told them how impressed we were. I had the langoustines and boy were they impressive and delicious. My lovely wife had the fish and chips and again delicious. Obviously all local. DJ and Elaine continued to ensure we had everything we needed and we so enjoyed their friendly natural service. A true joy. For dessert I had the chocolate and orange torte with fresh cream and my wife had the cheesecake with raspberry coulis and icecream and again both mouthwateringly delightful. This visit to Peet's was a truly joyful and wonderful experience. We cannot recommend it enough. Thank you guys!

Just love this restaurant! We live an hour and a half away from it and chose to dine there for our special anniversary. The restaurant is light and airy inside, the tables are well spaced out (so both covid anxieties and privacy are both covered ) and the staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. Would highly recommend the ‘Chicken Teuchter’ and the Venison Casserole as both were to die for! All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and the prices of the meals and the drinks are so fairly priced. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive, even though the restaurant was very busy. As like most of the Scottish Highlands, finding staff to accommodate their hospitality needs has been hard for them. And it has affected PEET’s opening hours, hence why they don’t open for lunch (such a shame for its customers). But otherwise, you would never know about the staff shortages as both the kitchen and front of house staff are absolutely brilliant at what they do. Excellent food, excellent service. Friendly, helpful, but not over bearing. Just perfect for those of us that want to feel special as a guest, but also want our privacy. Wanted to add that on the evening we had the pleasure of dining at PEET’s, 3 pre-booked tables had rudely failed to show up for their reservations, without having the decency to let the restaurant know. We sat at our table and personally watched staff have to turn away walk-in customers due to being fully booked, not knowing that these ignorant, pre-booked customers, weren’t going to show. It’s appalling! People need to stop being selfish and just let restaurants know if they are not going to take up their reservations. It has such a knock on effect. Our hospitality venues are hard hit enough, without having to lose money and custom just because someone hasn’t got the decency to let the proprietor know, or even answering their phone when the restaurant ring them to find out if they intend to turn up. Show some manners! Well done PEETS, keep up the good work and we shall definitely return for more excellent hospitality.

We drove 11 miles inland after finding a their sign, when we arrived we were told we could not come in as they were “fully booked” however there were plenty and plenty of empty tables. The staff seemed incapable of giving a validated excuse as to why we could not eat here. We then proceeded to try and book over the phone to which they hung up on us several times. We needed up going somewhere else for lunch. Not worth your time, or effort, or money, go somewhere else

Fantastic restaurant offering superb seafood at excellent prices.. The lady working as the sole waitress on the evening of our visit was very friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Also saw her cleaning a table after another guest left and it was clear she took Covid protocols very seriously giving a full clean of table and chairs. The most rigorous I have seen anywhere. If in Lochinver I would suggest this is a must ifyou like seafood. Fantastic

I can only assume they know their online booking system is weird because they accommodated my wife and I, if for only 45 minutes, when we arrived with what we thought was a confirmed booking only to find it wasn't. It looks as though when you request a booking and they say ok you then need to tell them you accept it, my wife did it so I’m not 100% sure. She decided to just have some soup which was fine, I had the Fisherman’s Platter which did contain all the elements advertised but all were under seasoned (not the herring, that's from a jar and was fine) and the two prawns, not on the list, were way over cooked and chewy. The salad appeared to have no dressing and the dish came with no accompaniments, mayo etc so was less than appealing. Beggars can’t be choosers and we found all around the NC500 booking in advance is essential if you want to eat anything other than fish and chips from a take-away, if you can find one. We thought we had and this was the only ‘fail’ we encountered.

Found this little place whilst travelling the NC500. We were in desperate search of some fresh seafood and this did not disappoint. Was fully booked but the staff found us a table. Large menu with a variety of hot and cold tapas style plates, large fish dishes and a selection of other dishes. We chose the fish platter to share, with a side of crabs claws cooked in garlic butter and mozzarella bread. The fish platter was phenomenal, as were the hot crabs claws. They were served whole in a hot garlic butter - to die for! This by far one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Would definitely recommend.

Came here two nights running. Thursday night - unhesitatingly five stars. Good food, generous portions. Friday night - three stars max. Very noisy, long waits for everything, my wife’s Mac ‘n cheese bordering on inedible due to saltiness. And it was served direct out of oven so almost dangerously hot. The staff though were extremely friendly and helpful. So cautious recommendation depending on which night you pick.

We booked lunch for 4 by email and received a confirmation by return. On the day, we received a reminder first thing in the morning. With such customer care and admin efficiency it was a great start. On arrival, we were greeted by a young waiter who showed us to our table, explained the Covid-19 procedures and took our orders. The young lady who took over supplied our drinks and food with cheery comments and brisk efficiency. The food! We all took the seafood chowder with crusty bread and it was unanimous - the BEST chowder we had EVER had. The bowl was groaning with loads of every species imaginable and the soup was divine. Also, the local gin was so good, we left clutching a bottle each which will serve as a lasting reminder as we sip through the contents.
