Called in on a bitterly cold day in February whilst staying in Assynt. A handful of other customers only. I had the salmon filled pie, my husband the lamb. We were expecting them to be huge so ordered them with side salad only. They weren't! Although I thought mine was quite tasty my husband wasn't very impressed. I cannot believe... More

Yes, these pies initially seem pricey at face value - but these are hand made on site, stuffed with quality ingredients and are huge. We always share a dessert pie between us (but too greedy to share the savoury ones!). We ring ahead and book some to take away to freeze, then have a fantastic lunch with friendly service in... Wonderful. I bought quite a few, savoury and sweet for camping round Christmas time. I loved the venison and cranberry, and the squash one.

Dinner here whilst staying in Clachtoll - lovely little restaurant. Menu was reasonable and the service was really good. No pies tonight but we had a very good evening meal that was served with seasonable vegetables. The meal was a lot better than we imagined it could be and pleased us that we stuck with the menu. Booking is recommended... More

This is lovely place with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. As many others visited have said, it specialised in pies and the range of unusual and imaginative fillings of offer is amazing. As we are our lovers, we both had a sweet pie and coffee to eat in and bought two savoury pies to take away. All the pies,... More

Popped in for lunch as have always meant to after reading the late Michael winners review. Bit rustic but nice. Lovely smiling service and good menu. Lovely range of pies and fillings. Pies are a wee bit overpriced I felt. Worth a visit to make your own mind up though.

This restaurant specialises in pies, although they do other food. We felt it was overpriced. The pie I had was o.k. the onion gravy was lovely. The service was friendly. We bought takeaway pies as well but a bit disappointed at the content! Pear, almond and chocolate, although the overall content was pear, very little chocolate. Again a bit pricy.

The Lochinver Larder is located on the right side of the road as you approach the harbour and there is a car park just beyond it. We called there for coffee and really liked the ambiance. Service was welcoming and prompt. As many reviewers have pointed out, this restaurant is noted for its pies, both savoury and sweet, and they... More

It's been said before but is worth saying again, the pies are delicious. Had some for lunch and were back two days later for more. Pear and chocolate was especially tasty!
