The cakes are really good !!! They also have sandwiches but I didn't try them. The atmosphere is very nice and cosy. Service is good.

We came here for sharing a dessert, the place is quite nice, very cozy and very close to the main square. We tried the "humita", and a mocachino cheesecake, both of them delicious!!. Obviously I had to try my usual cortado coffee, very good! I highly recommend this place if you want to have a relaxing time in Cajamarca.

The BBQ Chicken sandwich is my favorite! This homey restaurant serves all of the typical Peruvian sandwiches and desserts. Cakes and made daily and they are the best in the city. The wifi is very fast!

After looking for an expresso all around Cajamarca we found this nice looking place on the street besides the cathedral. Even if service was slow, coffee was good and hot. A couple of sandwiches took 20 minutes to arrive. Meat on the sandwich was hard and dry, lots of mayonnaise helped. The bechamel sauce of the second sandwich wasn't well... More

In general, It's a nice quiet place where you can have almost anything from a sandwich to ice-cream, and they're famous for their cakes. I think they're a little overpriced and the service is not always keen to help you. Service can take long, even when they're not busy with the tables. I think it's mainly because they receive orders... More

I think this is not a good place for breakfast. It took more than one hour to get all our order, but there were people in only two other tables. The breakfast included a cafe latte, it was the worst I had in a long time. I may try the cakes as other reviewers have advice, but I will stay... More

Cascanuez should be on the list for any traveler with a taste for sweets. The cakes are amazing and the cafe is a nice oasis in the chaos of the Cajamarca streets. Sandwiches are decent, but nothing special. The service is standard Peruvian - indifferent and slow, but not rude or unfriendly.
