Passed through Bakersfield on our way to Modesto over the weekend. We tried this place out because we had seen it on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Its located at the end of cul-de-sac in an industrial park. It was 15 minutes out of our way but worth the visit. We were promptly seated and our server was always around to... More

We've eaten here on several occasions and it's always great. My brother in law always wants to eat here when he's in town. They have a great selection of different style hamburgers. My favorite is the Atomic Bacon Cheeseburger. They have homemade ice cream that is so good and creamy. You have to save room for dessert.

Best Chilaquiles in town. Surprised by how authentic and great tasting. I truly recommend. They also had the best French toast. My son loved it. We ate his leftovers as dessert, it was yummy!!! Fun photo booth too. Not to mention the mimosas.

We went with our kids, for the first time, and it was really underwhelming. We waiting almost 1 hour to get fish & chips, chicken strips, and a burger. The food was fine, but 1 hour, really? We had to ask twice to see when our food would come out. Our server never checked on our drinks or to let... More

Great burgers, shakes, and other American cuisine! The atmosphere is like a nice 50's diner. Great service too! Just a warning: This place is difficult to find because you can see it from the main road (Truxton) but if you aren't familiar with the area, finding it is a bit frustrating. The address should not be Truxton Ave but Commerce... More

Some don't. I personally can eat spicy, but does everything on the menu have to have spice? If you like it spicy, this is the place for you. If you prefer a choice, go somewhere else. I had one of the least spicy sandwiches, and it was good but too spicy for me. Even the pickle was spicy.

So many choices. Delicious twist on old favorites and odd new adventures. Great portion sizes. Make sure to save room for dessert. Prices are more than reasonable and take out is available. Just don't be in too much of a hurry. This hot spot is crowded! The directions are horrible and this place is difficult to find if you aren't... More

This creamery, because of road redirection, is rather hidden and takes some effort to find. But the search is so worthwhile. The staff is very friendly and efficient and there is almost like a home environment. The food is just waiting to treat you to some of the best you have ever experienced.

Was in the area and based on reviews thought I would give it a try. They don't have a large breakfast selection but I gave the buttermilk pancakes a try. The pancakes seemed undercooked in the center. The biggest surprise was there only three 5 inch pancakes and it cost 7.00 plus 2.00 for coffee so 9.68 with tax. I... More
