We love the selection. This time my wife and I shared a spinach salad that was wonderful. She got a spicy sausage sandwich and I got pasta Bolognese, We also had the Pinot Noir of the day which was fabulous. Service was great.

This restaurant is over 100 years old and is a gem in old time Bakersfield. When we arrived, the parking was packed but we circled and finally got a spot. It was well worth it! The patio is delightful with a full bar. We had the pasta which came with wonderful fresh bread and a little antipasto. Plenty of food!... More

Luigi's is the place to go to live through much of Bakersfield's past. Stop in on any Saturday and you will get a chance to meet half of the town! By the way, the food is great!

My wife and I have enjoyed this local treasure for decades! Saturday meals are excellent, plenty of seating and the patio bar is our favorite spot. Weekday lunches are also delicious. Saturday NY steak and pasta is a specialty, and best Pastrami sandwich in town!

We were en route from King Canyon to Death Valley & decided to stop here mid route on advice from the lonely planet. Not sure about the neighbourhood when we rocked up, we ventured in at about 11am and were offered a table on the patio. I'm glad we were early as there was a queue (on a Tuesday) -... More

but don't let that stop you. This place is hopping at lunch time. All the downtown workers eat here. Power lunches to a quick bite with best friend, or mom's day out. The Italian food is straight-up authentic. The lasagne and chicken Parmesan are two of my favorites. The atmosphere is fun. Tables crowded together, the hustle and bustle of... More

Get there early. Food is always excellent and service is, in my opinion, above standard. Also, if your company is debating on hosting a private dinner party in the future, just do it! True, it's in a crappy part of town and parking is limited but the food and service is worth it.
