We on our way out of town heading back home and we stopped in at the Village Cafe. Corned Beef Hash was 400 times better than the over rated Jacks in town. Fritatta my wife had were also wonderful. Cute old remodeled house that serves the best food around.

Just had breakfast here. I had bacon, eggs with buscuit and gravy and my husband had the french toast sandwich. No fancy decor but good portions & cleaned our plates. Finally a place that gives you a large orange juice when you order one!

If you like breakfast in a homey atmosphere with just a touch of frills this is the place for you. Their outdoor patio is perfect on a sunny morning and if you are there on the weekend, be sure to get there before 9 am or you are going to wait for a table. (But worth every minute of the... More

Great food, great service, pleasant, funky place. Our Waitress was very accommodating. Big portions and we split a salad and a veggie fritatta. Yum! Also a couple shady parking spaces for the hot Bishop summers.

This is worth the trip. Located in a residence structure and has a good staff. Food is GREAT! Catfish for breakfast? Who'd a guessed. Looks to be a Spanish styled restaurant/café for the locals. Those are usually the best. Had a Sunday 8:30AM breakfast! Veggies were great and hash browns were homemade.

We chose to try this restaurant based on reviews; we should have based our decision on the negative reviews.... average and below. The interior, while most find it intriguing, we found it awful. The service for our drinks was immediate, asking what drinks we wanted and our server followed soon after, but offered to give us more time. I guess... More

Stopped here on Sunday morning on the way home from camping near Rock Creek. The chicken fried steak was great, gravy first rate, fritta was excellent. We sat outside and althought that was our preference, the location is near the kitchen door which attracts flys so it was not perfect. YOu get lots of food and it was great, seemed... More

Recently stopped for breakfast, and were glad we did. Sat outside on the deck, which was super cute! Our server was very attentive. We both ordered the French toast special, and it was awesome! Huge portion, and so good I had to eat every last bite. Would happily return next time we are in town.

Lots of character, but the food was just average - although I didn't order the frittata, which seems to be a house specialty. A little difficult to find, especially if you're driving north on 395.

We stopped in traveling through to Texas. My granddaughter had the homemade meatball sandwich (huge), my husband had the highway melt and I had the ham sandwich (also huge). All were very good! We had our chocolate lab with us and they invited us to bring her to sit with us on the deck. The service was awesome...very friendly.
