We eat here on a regular basis, it is not a fancy restaurant but the food is always good. I enjoy the seafood cocktails or the mixed seafood with peppers and onions. My husband loves the grilled shrimp and the chili rellenos. The atmosphere could be improved however the food is worth it.

Old, tired, dirty, and expensive. Waitress could not wait for our order even though we were only 2nd customers in dining room. Ordered wine for 1, beer for another. Wine arrived, beer didn't. Waitress seemed uninterested. Ordered 2 specials, Fish Tacos. Waitress offered beans and rice as part of meal with mo mention of up charge. Bill presented showed charge... More

we ate here because of curiosity in hopes to find a good Mexican food find. The chips and salsa were good, but that was it. There were chips in the seats of our booth and the restaurant seemed old and tired (and dirty). They also only serve beer. No margaritas (unless you want to type made with soju rice liquor-... More

Tonos is right on the Avenue of the Flags and allows you to stretch your legs after a long drive. It is nothing to look at from the outside, but the inside appears to be a Mexican makeover of an Italian restaurant. Its a little darker, booths and tables are private, and there's no blaring music. The staff is very... More

I don't know why this place is still around. No one goes there. The parking lot is always empty! I have only eaten there once, and that was one time too many. The only positive I can say is that the beer is cold...

Tonio's could be the best in town, just from the colorful interior decor and the good menu. However the service was a bit slow and the food only fair, at best. With travelers from the US 101 stopping by here for a brief meal, customers would like a little more 'pronto' in being served so they can be on their... More

Just had dinner tonite. I had Chilie Verde. It was tender and flavorful. Rice and beans were above average. My wife had enchilada souisa. She said it was different than other she has had, but very good. One waitress was handling everything and did a good job of it. I would definitely stop in again.

The question I ask myself is why did we return to eat at Tonio's? My hubby and I like to give our local businesses our patronage; however this restaurant is not a good choice. We hoped it had improved and wanted to give it another chance. My husband's cheese enchilada combo plate was okay. I ordered the albondigas soup (Mexican... More
