My grandfather was a Danish Baker. I went to buy some pumpernickel bread for my family. But, I was forewarned that they do not bake their bread properly. I asked them for a 1/2 loaf sliced. I was questioned if I had ever had my bread sliced there before. tat was not typically done. When, a bread slicer was within... More

The food was great. Interesting main dishes. Service was very good. Atmosphere was nice and the noise level was perfect.

The name "Copenhagen" implies Danish pastries. I have had the pastries here three or four times over the last several years, and they have been consistently disappointing. They are heavy and not well made. What they call buttercream is not true, quality buttercream. Very disappointing pastries.

Breakfast & lunch is cafeteria style and dinner has servers with reservations online. Busy all day long, for just great coffees or dining. Staff... More

We enjoy coming here, especially on a warm evening and sitting outside. Good service, good choice of food and drinks - very relaxing and not rushed at all.

We ate brunch here and it was quite good, if very crowded. They have lots of traditional American brunch classics but do not bypass the excellent Danish (fairly authentic) pastries!

One of the best thing on my SF trip was Copenhagen Cafe, a place all of us frequented during our teenage years. The place look the same and so are the staffs and thankfully the taste of the food remains the same. The shrimp sandwich with cucumber salad is still tasty as my sister and I remembered. The place is... More

My husband and I have visited Copenhagen Bakery and Cafe each time we are in the San Mateo area. Wonderful baked goods, great coffee, and a great neighborhood atmosphere. We enjoy it every time we are in town.
