Called in while we had been to Clitheroe doing some shopping. Sadly we had eaten so didnt have anything to eat. That said what we saw coming from the kitchen looked brilliant, and the customers seemed to really enjoy it so we wil be back to sample the food next time we are in the area. Thing that made this... Nipped in late for a pint and some quick bar food. Service and food was great, seems like a place that is good at bar food and snacks, which these days is all you want! Will be going back for sure.

Was out and about round the Clitheroe area and looking for some nice hearty home made food on a bitterly cold day, and we stumbled across this little gem. It looks like it's a young couple that run it and they were welcoming and pleasent. We took a seat in a quirky yet cosy little corner and ordered our food... More

A refurbishment to the outside of the pub heralds a new tenant at the Brown Cow. Keen to see if the new people would revive this tied local pub 5, of us visited for dinner. Oh Dear! When I saw the menu I thought OK its a retro menu, might be good, but after ordering from the very attentive (... More

Visited with family 3 adults & 5 children aged 5 to 14yrs. I opted for the steak & kidney pud with new potatoes & fresh veg as did my daughter but she had mash. My partner had the trio of sausage also with mash & fresh veg. The children had spicy chicken wings, gammon & chips. The food was very... More

After what seems like a long time, the restaurant has re-opened and The Brown Cow is now fully functional. Set in a small village the restaurant has always been popular with villagers as well as passing trade such as walkers, hikers, holiday makers. There is plenty of parking space and a large beer garden behind the restaurant, it is also a...
