We went to this restaurant for lunch. First of all, they give huge portions. We couldn't eat all of our food and it was enough for two people. The price was very good for lunch; $10- for pasta and salad. We normally come here for dinner and with a lot of people, so going there with just two of us,... More

First timer. I have always heard of Buca but never been, Family tried it out on a busy Saturday night. No reservations. They squeezed us in with a 10 minute wait. Love the Kitchy decor and the overall atmosphere. The family style options are great we ordered the small for a family of four and there always seemed to be... More

Forget the real Italian food... this is something else. The pizza was not so bad, even if I would avoid to put on it garlic. We had two kind of pasta with fish and meat. I don't eat meat but my colleagues siad me it was not bad. I tried the other one with fish but it was really not... More

A reasonably large extended family group sad around a lazy Susan table for an excellent meal. Our San Jose relatives chose this for a family event, an interesting choice for my immediate family who live in Minnesota where Buca originated and know the original Minneapolis restaurant and its Twin Cities progeny well. Small plates 2 to 3 in larger plates... More

Though the portion sizes are "family style", which means a huge platter, for couples, ordering the "small" is more than enough. We opened with the caesar salad, followed it up with fried calamari for appetizer, then veal parmigiana for our entree. Their house wine is excellent, and their tiramisu dessert is a must try. Customer service when entering the restaurant... More

I tried several different dishes here and they all taste delicious. Waitress are friendly. But I do notice inside of the restaurant is quite cold. Maybe 70f.

I celebrated my birthday here for lunch. Ordered a salad that had apples in it. The dressing was bitter vinager type mix. Shared it with my daughter we didn't finish it. Then we shared a pasta dish called Zitti. It was good but nothing more then glorified cheese and noodles. That dish was tasty but ended up taking a small... More

This used to be one of my favorite spots. We opted for a late-night dine here, and the experience was horrible. It was after 9pm, and we were told it would be a 15 minute wait, which turned into a 30+ minute wait. While we were waiting, a staff member asked if we'd been helped. I began to explain that... Positives: huge portions, great value especially if you join their e-club for their offers, good selection of foods. Negatives: can be noisy, foods on the salty side, parking is pretty horrible during busy hours. Go during off hours. Go hungry.
