This is the best taverna in Karpathos island for real authentic well cooked Greek food. It takes an hour of difficult drive to get there but the reward is immense. Prices are insanely cheap for what they offer.

Breathtaking location, the old mill was transformed to an open air restaurant overlooking the sea and the sunset. The hole village is unique built on a hill with breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. This is a family owned and run restaurant, grandma...in a traditional costume, that most older ladies of the village wear, bakes loaves of bread in a traditional oven, small menu with great dishes, very friendly family. Definitely worthwhile the one hour drive through winding well paved road with exceptional vistas. Don’t forget to wonder through the village and spent time talking to the locals. Surprisingly English is widely spoken.More

Being Greeks ourselves we really enjoyed the food at this restaurant! It is easily one of the best in Olympos, if not in Karpathos, and they offer amazing views of the village or the sunset (you can choose where you would like to be seated)....They bake their own bread and their windmill can be visited (and actually see it in action if windy). Their makarounes were some of the best we tried on the island (not heavy at all) and their red sauce goat was very good too. Loukoumades and galaktoboureko very fresh! Very good portions and good value for money. Keep up the good work!More

The tavern is nicely located at the picturesque village Olympos. The dishes were ok. We definitely expected more local recipes. The prices were very good and the quality of the food as well. The view is stunning.

This small restaurant made it worth to visit Olympos. The city itself a bit over-hyped but this place definitely made it worth to climb the hills and steps. The waitress was speaking English really well, the ambience of the restaurant was so nice. The deserts...were delicious - try the dessert of the day! Our family still dreams of the galaktoboureko we had here!More

Great restaurant with authentic local food. We had the Mylos salad, the eggplant salad, the Makarounes and the Loukoumades (for dessert) and everything was super tasty and freshly cooked! One of our favourite taverna on this holiday in Karpathos!

Very friendly - we were the first (!) clients in the season 2022 and enjoyed freshly made bread and hot spinach-pastry directly out of the old oven of the mill. We wish the family many more satisfied clients in the full year!

With good memories of our previous visits, we went back again to Milos Taverne. Located at the very end of the village of Olympos it is worth going the extra steps for an authentic meal! The food was, as we remembered, exquisite! Fresh zucchini and...cheese ball, Makarounes, a local pasta speciality, goat stew, Greek salat made with certainly the best tomatoes we have eaten so far. For dessert a plate of loukomades and a juicy, sweet melon from the field. Good that it is a little walk back to the car, as we had certainly gone over the top. But what can one do, if all is so delicious! Take something warm as with the wind or the occasional cloud it can get quite chilly!More

Nice place with a beautiful view. We took the goat, but one portion was only bones and no meat at all. It was salty and the quality of the food was not what we were expecting baed on the reviews. Though the view is great...and that was the companation for the salty food and one portion of bones.More

Perhaps not at spectacular as the view in some places in Santorini, but I wasn't there at sunset. I would imagine a reservation would not be needed this time of the year, but that's just my guess.
