It might seem chaotic, but it's actually incredibly efficient. Even when it's packed I'm generally out of there in under ten minutes. It's the best bakery in Santa Cruz County. Perfect for grabbing a bite to take to the beach. Don't forget the baked goods. Oh man. I'm drooling as I write this review. Yum!

I found out why, they have many customers, including me, and they are well organized inside. My everyday favorite is the French loaf - just the right texture and great taste. Then the eclairs followed by ginger cookies, and a Ficelle sandwiches to go. If they have the Ficelle with brie cheese, try it you can't go wrong. Just wish... More

Terribly unorganized ordering and purchasing process, very intimidating and unfriendly for first time customers. Food was okay.

The kind of bakery/deli that everyone should visit during a vacation. Great sandwiches and awesome pastries. Could only eat a couple, but the Almond Croissant was great. Small sitting area (larger area was under construction), but more than enough for a quick stop. Perfect with coffee!

This place is awesome! We went here for dessert after dinner and Gayle's did not disappoint. My favorite was the almond croissant and the hot chocolate with whip cream. The prices were very reasonable.

We stopped in here for pastries for breakfast and wow was it tough to limit ourselves! The choices are abundant and al bakery items are fresh. There is usually a crowd but there are many people working to serve the crowd. Loved everything we had ...The apple bread pudding was one of our favorites as was the cinnamon roll.

you order your food, while a staff member plates it in front of you, then you go to the cashier to pay. you can have take out or dine in. They have a bakery section. I wasnt really impressed with the food. Also a little pricey

The choice is overwhelming and mouth-watering at Gayle's. With its well established reputation, it draws quite a crowd. But there is order in this chaos, and you take a number and wait to be called--but the decision won't be easy. Everything we had was really fresh. It requires an act of great self-discipline to turn away from their sweet desserts...
