I made a reservation to celebrate our 30th Anniversary two months in advance at the restaurant for7pm. When we arrived at that time the only table available was by the door which was constantly being opened. We declined to buy a drink while we had...to wait so were asked to wait outside in the cold by the host. After 20 minutes as we were still there and hadn’t gone away she. came out and asked us if we would like a glass of wine. Without asking us what we would like she asked us to stand by the entrance to the toilets and poured us a small glass. After another five minutes a table came free. Whilst I understand the need to utilise as many tables within a restaurant to maximise profits if you don’t intend to honour reservations don’t offer them. The rest of the staff realised the problem and tried to help rescue our anniversary evening (hence two stars instead of one).More

Great food and service is a terrific combination! We had a delicious lunch of gyro sandwich with Greek salad. The portion was huge and the gyro meet was tender and flavorful. I had the best mint tea I’ve ever tasted. We didn’t order dessert as...we were stuffed but the restaurant gave a free small taste of baklava that was delicious. I recommend making a reservation. It was a holiday and they were very busy. We would happily go back!!More

Made you feel like family. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Music and dancing once an hour. We had Smoked Salmon appetizer and the Combination platter. Both were amazing. Wish we lived closer it would be my favorite go to spot.

With my Greek heritage my wife and I insist on trying Greek restaurants on our travels and this lived up to our expectations with one slight gripe. The restaurant is a mix of Greek and Italian with a menu to match. It's busy, cosy, loud...and vibrant, everything a Mediterranean restaurant should be. The food was very good, fresh and served very fast (part of the little gripe) by friendly staff. We loved our date there but the one exception was the "speed" of service. Everything felt very very rushed, to the point it felt they wanted you fed and out for the next person in. I'm sure that isn't the case, but it felt that way to us. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a special night , which with the food, music and dancing helped towards, but the speed in which you are served each course was insane! I hadn't even finished eating my spanikopita and the waitress was trying to push a plate onto a very small table with my main on it. There was no pause in between to savor the beautiful starter as my Greek salad and wifes ravioli were already under our noses on this cramped table. Mediterranean eating is all about time and conversation, laughter and savouring food together, this felt very rushed , very impersonal and a get in get out attitude (see our review for the next one we came across in San Diego to see a difference in this ). Regardless of this gripe, the food was good and the team very welcoming.More

I had not been in years, but friends decided to take mw here for my birthday. I has remembered the moussaka had been reasonable and very good last time, so thought that might be what I would order. It was a Saturday night and we...had reservations as the place was packed. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. When I saw the moussaka was now $35.99, I opted to look further on the menu, since I was not the one paying the bill. We ordered he Dametra Pasta which had chicken, olives, sun dried tomatoes and capers on spaghetti (if think it was $27). It was delicious and a generous portion. HOWEVER, just after we put in our order, the staff started some musical entertainment. While this added atmosphere, it was WAY TOO LOUD. You couldn't hear (even if you shouted) the person next to you. The music blasted through the speakers to the point you could feel the intensity of it. The older lady in our party plugged her hears but it was still too much for her and my other friend who coordinated this dinner, got up to find our waitress to cancel our meal as she wanted to leave. We were assured it would only be about 5 minutes, so we toughed it out. The restaurant has atmosphere with the murals on the walls and decor, but it is just too small of a place for the intense volume. We thought, if this were a place with patio dining, it would have been perfect. They did bring a pistachio baklava on the house, which was very good. I see that Tripadvisor lists the pricing for this restaurant around $20, but that is more the pricing for starters and a la carte entrees are in the high $20-$40 range for dinner. Perhaps that is a lunchtime price range.More

Five minutes after we were seated, a man started singing with an amplified guitar and one of the waiters drummed with him. It was absolutely ear splitting, and I’m not sure what purpose it served. We actually got up to leave, but the host said...they’d finish in a few minutes, which they did. We stayed, but the food was really lackluster. I was surprised because the restaurant was well-reviewed.More

Do not miss this place! The lamb was succulent, and a bowl of roasted vegetables was warm and sprinkled with pignoli and feta. Cocktails were skillfully made and the decor was charming. It was very good value, too. There was a short interval of live...music but it did not dominate.More

Excellent lamb, a wonderful and huge roasted veg salad, complementary warm bread, and professional service. No wonder this place filled up quickly on a Tuesday night.

What an unexpected delight! My girls and I were walking around Carmel looking for a place to have dinner. We walked by this restaurant, and it was HOPPING! We decided to see how long of a wait there would be to join in the fun....The hostess told us there were four seats at the bar and they could seat us immediately, (even though my twins are only 16, she said it was family friendly). What fun we had! The food we ordered was all beyond expectation and in large quantity! Delicious! I had the Paella which had a nice touch of ground sausage. My girls ordered platters and we had so much food leftover after we were completely satisfied! We were able to box it up and have it for lunch the next day and it was still delicious! During our meal, live music started and it was full of energy. The whole restaurant started clapping and several people got up to dance in their spot--even my girls! To top off the night, they gave us baklava on the house. One of my daughters said it was the best experience she ever had.More

This is a fantastic restaurant and experience overall. The food and service were spectacular. It is expensive on an absolute basis but not relative to the area in our opinion. They had a small band do a song once an hour which was a lot...of fun.More

My husband and I had lunch here on Sunday March 24th. My husband had the cheeseburger with fries and I had the beef lamb gyro with fries. Both were excellent and my husband loved his food. The fries were delicious and seasoned well. The service...was good and the restaurant was clean. This is a great Mediterranean style restaurant.More

Walked into this restaurant on a whim just after 11am on a Sunday. I was probably the first customer of the day. Never been here before so wasn't sure what to expect. Ordered the chicken shwarma sandwich to go. My meal arrived in what seemed...like less than 10 minutes. It was everything I'd want in a lunch in Carmel. Friendly and fast service, beautiful and perfectly prepared food (the wrap was perfectly toasted and the chicken so tender), a very generous portion, and all so fresh. Looks like they've won lots of awards. If the food and service is always this good then I can see why. Thanks Dametra.More

I struggled with the rating. Not quite a 4 but definitely better than a 3. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is nice. The singing waitstaff is super fun. The food, however, is only average. There was nothing bad, but there was also nothing...particularly good.More
