We had the tuna tartare for starters, and the fresh tuna for main course. The food was really good, and the service was great!

Ate in the pub section mid week of the ATT golf tournament. Very hardy menu and when our entees arrived they were as fresh and warm as coming right off the cooktop at home. Great combination of vegies and fried potatoes with the sea bass. Wine selection a little weak but didn't deter from the excellent meals and cozy atmosphere.
Went on Valentine's Day. They had a special menu but also their usual menu, unlike many other places. The lobster bisque was one of the best I have ever had anywhere. I hear the paella is similarly great but I had a fish dish that was okay, everything would be a let down after that soup! Husband had prawn cocktail... More
Oysters were good and fresh and the sampler was a chance to try three different kinds of oysters. The smallest ones were the sweetest! I had the seafood cobb salad with fresh shrimp and Pacific crab.....thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a Friday night and the place was hopping and we had no reservations but were able to sit at the... Flaherty's used to be a reliable fave for my husband and me, but no more. During our last visit, three of our party ordered fish and chips, which my husband described as blah and barely warm. The ambiance is dated and not very inviting. Service was OK, but not exactly what one would expect in Carmel By The Sea. As for food, the Caesar salad was very bland, not a real Caesar dressing. The Risotto came cold. The catfish was properly cooked and was good. All told, not worth going to with all the excellent restaurants... More
Disappointing experience at Flaherty's. Found it on Open Table and had high hopes, but inattentive, bumbling service, and expensive, decent but not-spectacular food made this a place we are happy to have in the rearview mirror.
Stopped in for an early dinner around 5-ish, I was the only person in the restaurant. I sat at the bar as they had Anthony Bourdain on the TV behind the bar, I ordered a dozen Fanny Bay oysters, Manhattan Chowder to start and a glass of Albarino from the Bilbao, Spain, area. All were fantastic! The bartender was very... More
We actually came in for just a little later evening snack (after having a large lunch earlier in the day). Great selection of breads to accompany the dinner. The clam chowder was very good with lost of clams. Their seared Ahi was delicious - done just right. They also have one of the best selections of whiskeys in all of... More
