A family member recommended this place and even though it doesn't look like much from the outside, the food was great! $10.95 per person gets you an unlimited buffet. The water was cold and fresh and didn't taste like tap water and they made sure our cups stayed full. The buffet had basmati rice and a tamarind fried rice, and... More
Indian restaurants are rarer than hens teeth in Chico--we have one real restaurant (this one) and a lunch place. So if you get a craving for South Indian, this is your only shot. But they really, really do a great job of covering the basics. Prices are moderate, the menu is a full on selection, and the dishes come hot,... More
Priya, like Cocodine, is one of those very special dining places. With so many average restaurants in Chico, here is somewhere you can get that special meal: Indian and very tasty. If you have family or friends visiting who are looking for a unique experience, try Priya.
Every experience there has be excellent. My wife and I both love Chicken Tikka Misala. They have a great buffet at lunch time.
Just the best. The lunch buffet is offered 7 days a week and is wonderful! Just went there for dinner tonight and ordered off the menu. Have never been disapointed. Highly, highly recommend. Very nice folks and great service.
We have been to Priya for their buffet at least 10 times in the past couple of years. I love the flavors used in Indian cuisine, but I cannot tolerate anything more than moderately spicy. Priya has been a known quantity, as there is usually just one item (maybe 2) that is too spicy for my taste, otherwise I very... More
Wife and I in Chico for family business and looking for a good meal. Check on TripAdvisor and saw that Pirya was well rated and just a few doors down from us. Happy day! Some of the best Indian food we have had in years. Loved it.
The chicken masala is delicious as are all the other tempting dishes on the buffet. There are also yummy menu selections if you aren't into eating so much. Although they have a great lunch buffet the dinner selections are better.
The lunch buffet is great with the typical lineup of veggie and nonveg items. Come back in the evening for a variety of Dosas, vada and other South Indian specialties in addition to the standard fare. I speak a smattering of Hindi...no luck here...the staff primary language is Telegu. South Indian. Such a wonderful rare change from the usual Indian.
