Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is an absolute gem. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming and full of smiles. The food is delicious and the veg cooked to perfection, we were there for dinner and breakfast and they didn't miss a beat. The rooms are beautiful spotlessly clean...beautifully decorated and comfortable, with a great selection of tea, fruit tea Coffee and decaf tea and coffee, a really thoughtful touch and a bonus comfortable pillows. 😀 Would highly recommend this place its a delightMore

One of our favourite pubs, a lovely beer garden. Fantastic food and very good friendly staff. Menu changes often so always something lovely to try.

We have been to this pub on quite a few occasions (albeit for lunch) and have recommended it to many local friends living in Norfolk. Until last night, we have never been disappointed. What a disaster the evening was. The menu was so uninspiring, so...much so that my husband and I chose the fish and chips thinking it would be a safe bet. One of our friends chose the confit duck, the other the kedgeree (something you'd normally expect on a breakfast menu). The fish and chips were amongst the worst we've ever had. The fish was dry (bearing in mind we have wonderful fresh fish in this part of the world), the chips were more like wedgies with skin on, which is fine but but they were cold, soggy and tasted of stale fat, so totally inedible, and the mushy peas were watery, leaving a green soggy mess all over the plate None of this was seasoned and there was no salt and pepper on the table. My husband had to go the bar to ask for salt and pepper because there was nobody to hand that we could ask. Our friend who had chosen the confit duck was clearly struggling to get it off the bone (confit duck should pull apart). He said it was awful and that it was still almost raw next to the bone. He is far too polite to complain and so just left most of it (not something I agree with, hence this review). This morning, his wife texted me saying he had been very unwell during the night with an upset stomach. When our lovely waitress cleared the plates asking had everything been OK, I did mention our issues. There was no feed back from the kitchen. I hasten to add that I am always the first to say when food and service have been good. which in terms of this pub was the reason we have continued to return. Last night the service was also a bit remiss. Our waitress was clearly run off her feet and could not have been nicer but she was alone on a saturday night with two young people who had not a clue. Such a shame because this pub is a 20 minute drive from where we live and we were very happy to have it on our tick list but sadly I doubt we will be revisiting.More

My wife and myself booked for an early dinner Friday evening. Upon arriving we received a very warm welcome and another member of staff showed us to our table. Without asking chilled water and glasses were set at the same time as seating. The menu...was very interesting and varied and complemented by a specials board. The staff member advised details of the soup of the day and described the specials. The knowledge was superb. We shared a starter of smoked dapple beignets with pickled walnuts - the presentation was amazing and they tasted great My wife opted for the special of steak with blue cheese and I had the BBQ salted brisket from the main menu. Again presentation of a very high standard and the flavours incredible including the memorable BBQ sweetcorn slices that came with my brisket along with other veg. We did not have room for a desert but plan to next time The waitress who served us had that perfect balance of friendly warm and efficiency. Simply a fantastic evening ! Thank you to all the Three horseshoes team but a special accolade to the kitchen - we will be back very soonMore

Beautiful exterior that was reflected by the inside. Dog friendly, excellent friendly service. We both had the Hake on a bed of curry. Hake was cooked to perfection. Vegetables were spot on also. On our list to visit next time we come to the area.

After embarking on a spontaneous overnight trip to Briston, we had the pleasure of dining at The Three Horseshoes. Our evening was graced by the warm presence of our waitress, Gerrie, who delivered service of exceptional caliber. Gerrie was not only attentive and friendly but...also incredibly knowledgeable, displaying a genuine passion for interacting with guests and offering a masterful level of service. The delightful food was further elevated by Gerrie's personal touch and brilliance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Gerrie, Corey, and the entire team at The Three Horseshoes for making our night truly memorable.More

I went as one of a family party of 29 people for Sunday Lunch. They had asked us to pre-order our food which was a good idea.We ordered for sitting down ant 1.00pm and almost to the dot they started serving it. There was a...range of choices from their menu but all were well presented and my beef was perfect. Everyone was happy with their food which is a good sign for a large party. The staff were very pleasant, courteous and professional and made sure we had all we needed. The plan is to return in 1 year and 1 day as we were scattered from far and awayMore

My wife and I returned to The Three Horseshoes last month having enjoyed a lovely stay at the pub in July 2021. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as good this time, so we couldn’t enjoy breakfast and dinner in the beautiful garden, but the accommodation, food...and service were just as good as we remembered. It really is a special pub, and one that I know we’ll be returning to time and time again.More

Great marriage of front and back of house, great company, tasty and aromatic food, splendid atmosphere. Whether a couple or a family, the team look after everyone so well. We found and stayed here last year, a few times, whilst looking to move to Norfolk.,...and it quickly became our bedrock for looking around, due to the quality of food, company, and friendly locals. Tonight was our turn to take our family and show why we moved to Norfolk and the team didn’t let us down.More
