Very helpful and understanding staff (since we had a crying baby). Nice atmosphere and love centerpiece of open fire. Food however unremarkable. Had already run out of mahi selection which was disappointing. Paying for atmosphere.

Trader Vic's used to thrive on the combination of fruity rum drinks plus their particular brand of sort-of-Cantonese-"Polynesian" food. But things have changed. The restaurant still has handsome views of the bay, and the bar still turns out a large variety of rum drinks. However, the sadly diminished menu has lost much of its former Pan-Pacific accent, and the preparation... More

We tried Ralph's, Pavilion and Safeway but should have just come here from beginning. For an Australian family there was a lot that was familiar in this supermarket and we were excited to find up market fresh food options.

This is one of the few remaining trader VICS locations in North America, and it's always fun to visit. The Decour, drinks, and the food are always excellent, and the staff is welcoming and attentive

Trader Vic's a place that best represents where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I celebrate the fact that Trader Vic's, originator of the Mai Tai, is still here along the Emeryville harbor with it's Polynesian adorned interior and exterior and its tropical-inspired tiki drinks and bar bites on the menu, but everything here on this... My family has been coming to Trader Vic's for years and it is still great. Very festive this time of year too. The drinks were great the food was great and the service was excellent as well. The Mai Tais are strong and delicious and highly recommended. Every dish we ordered was terrific especially the sea Bass and salmon.

Our third time at this restaurant, and it didn't disappoint, again. Food is good, and the experience great. For a real Mai Tai cocktail, as it was invented by the name sakes owner, order the Trader Vic's Mai Tai 1944. In my opinion, it puts all those tropical imposters to shame...

Trader Vic's Emeryville is one of our "must visit" restaurants in the Bay Area. We love the beef cho cho as an appetizer ($11.50). Add a 1944 Mai Tai to the order along with a side of peanut butter and crackers, and you are ready to relax and enjoy a great meal. The sea bass was outstanding ($32). It is... More

This restaurant brand has a great history, however some of the seating practices date back to the beginning of the restaurant, if you arrive 10 minutes before dinner seating officially begins you will be seated in the bar, which wouldn't be problem except chairs are low and it is difficult to find a place to set a drink. I would... More
