The Roxy has a makeover. It's hard to say, but we were disappointed with the interior = the seating, lighting, and overall layout was nothing that would invite us back. We sat outside. Our server recommended the Falafel Burger and the BLT. Both were good, but the BLT with avocado and egg was Ah-mazing!! I'd definitely go back for that.... More

You know what they say about first impressions... I'm so disappointed this evening! Having been a faithful patron (family of 5 who dined at Roxy 3-4 times a month) of the old Roxy, I was excited to see it would be reopening. I was skeptical about the new menu and look. I loved the comfortable / casual, though a bit... More

The new (August 2016) menu deletes most of the vegetarian and/or Mexican and/or Mediterranean dishes that brought customers to Roxy and kept the place going for 35 years. The new 1920s decor is great, but I don't generally eat wall paper, paint, bentwood chairs, and floor tiles.

I ordered a bean burrito which was huge and between my 18-month-old daughter and I, we couldn't finish it. The other two in my party each had the Chef Salad (no meat), which they said was very good. They had live music that night as well, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

We eat at Roxy every time we visit Southern California. The food is consistently good, huge menu and lots of great choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The service is consistently strange, I think they need to hire more staff. Nevertheless we will return the next time we visit Encinitas.

What ever kind of mood you're in they have it here. Went here with my date after drinks @ The Saloon.Few other couples having dinner in booths. So we seated ourselves at a table in the center. My date had the eggplant dinner & I had the spaghetti dinner. Both very nice. Comes with salad & soup. Again both very... More

We've been here for lunch a couple of times and enjoyed the starters. Today we decided on dinner on a Friday night. It was popular with families and therefore had a different feel from the other restaurants in Encinitas. We skipped starters and went straight to the Main course. We chose the scampi and pasta rather than the rice. It... More

It is right on the main drag and has Mediterranean and some Italian things like pizza. The special of the day amongst other things was a gyros sandwich and that came with a side salad. Very reasonably priced and the gyro sandwich was very good. Sometimes the bread is clearly store bought but this bread tasted better than many. Reasonably... More

For a beachside restaurant I wasn't too impressed with the interior nor disgusted but one the bright side the food was delisious. I was highly satisfied once finished and was extremely full that I had to wait atleast 15 minutes to leave after eating. This place is very cost efficient

Stopped in for lunch and ate outside. A very pleasant setting watching the action on the street. Had the gyro platter which is not offered everywhere. It was very good and hit the spot. A very enjoyable lunch in a cute setting. Service was good and the food came out pretty quick. I believe they lean toward the Greek food... More
