Yummy pastry and sandwich selection at this lovely yellow building. A local classic. Fresh coffee beans roasting in lower level, worth the trip down the stairs. Best coffee and latte you can acquire in this area, no question! Unique place and worth your time to experience this area vibe and food!

What a find! A coffee shop where they grind and roast their own beans and make their own baked goods. Antiques and ambience abound in this coastal gathering place. We sat outside on the upper patio. Below us was a ground floor patio. Our drinks and shared scone were delicious. I was somewhat puzzled by the barista's explanation re the... More

This place has a nice atmosphere and great cafe drinks, food and pastries. But that is not what I came here to write about. My daughter drove down from LA to do a photo shoot and visit with me for a bit. We met at Pannikin before she left to drive home. We decided to spend the last 40 minutes... More

Amazingly yummy pastries! Coffee is good too. Cool atmosphere as well! Dog friendly, we saw lots of people with pets. Kids had fun with their treats and the area out front to run and play.

While staying in Encinitas for a week, we stumbled upon this quaint little shop on the Coast Highway. You can't miss the cute yellow shop on the west side of the highway, with the line out the door. The customer service was awesome, as the workers here treated us like we were locals, and offered suggestions on what we should... More

I met a running group there on a Saturday morning. The place was packed, but my order was handled in very good time. My latte tasted excellent.

Delicious food with fair portions. Priced fairly but can get expensive if you are paying for more then yourself but the desserts are big and delicious so it's worth the bit of coin you spend. Sadly no waffles or pancakes. :(

I make a stop every time I'm in the area. Love the laid-back vibe! I usually get lucky & miss the crowds.
