I lived one block from Pannikin right off the Highway 101 for over one year. Every time I rode my bike by this restaurant my nose would get the most delightful smell of their pastries and foods. I would stop periodically for one of their baked goods. Worth the stop!

I don't think you can really go wrong at the Pannikin. It was one of the first coffee purveyors in San Diego and today, now in Leucadia, it has great coffee served up in a funky, fun environment. I love their gluten-free pumpkin walnut muffins. I drink coffee unadulterated so I can tell you the coffee they roast and serve... More

A dog-friendly meeting place for friends, family. Can't miss on the baked goods and coffee. They are usually pretty busy so seating can be at a premium and busing of tables is needed.

Ate breakfast here. Scrambled eggs and home made salsa, raspberry muffin, and coffee. Sat outside on their front porch. Food was delicious but a bit pricey. They roast their own coffee on the premises; two of the employees were working on a batch in the basement when I went down to use the very clean restroom.

If you have to take someone to breakfast and you want to either 1. show them a good time/meal 2. provide them with an impressive meal or 3. just flat out want them to have a nice atmosphere, dont go here! The flys were rampant. 20 flys at a table. The food was simply eggs but there was nothing special... More

Love everything about the Pannikin from the history of the building (used to be the old train station building in Encinitas that was moved to this site) to the amazing coffee and pastrys. They even have gluten free muffins that are delicious! It gets busy on the weekends and there is usually a line out the door so make sure... More

Don't let the line out front fool you! It moves quickly. You order your food at the counter and it's brought out to you. Open seating is comfortable. The food is outstanding. Huevos Rancheros and Cherry Pie! The baked goods are worth the trip! Outstanding. And as mentioned in other posts, the coffee is great! Will visit again!

An amazing place with a retail section and indoor/outdoor café. Parking in the rear. Muffins and pastries the size of your hand. Memorable indulgence for a number of your senses...

Been coming here over 25 years and it still is the best! Love walking from home and enjoying the coffee ! Go for breakfast and sit outside. The art work from the locals is worth a visit in itself.
