These rolls are out of this world. They melt in you mouth be careful not to eat to many. You can pre order the appetizer size rolls. There are 25 in a box. That way you go to the pick up line

I ordered several different items- all good but the potato balls Papas rellanas are wonderful. I tried the ones that stuffed with a seasoned ground beef. I liked them well enough that I ordered a dozen to bring home. We ate them as appetizers for Thanksgiving! I ordered several cakes and found them moist, and flavorful. I tried Cuban food... More

Really love the pastries and the Cuban sandwiches. The service in great, considering how busy they are. Great for family meals.

I was so excited to try their savory pastries that I didn't mind the wait. My understanding is that all locations have lines out the door and this held true on my visit today. I decided to try the potato balls, the potato/pepper balls, meat pies, spinach/ feta croissant and the Cuban sandwich. This was completely delightful!!! I was impressed... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Portos Cafe and Bakery. What an awesome location. the place was packed, but yet the lines went fast. They had plenty of service staff. i had the Cuban Medianoche sandwich-Slices of slow roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, Cuban dressing on a sweet roll. Delicious! choclate eclair, guava strudel and a guave cheese strudel... More

I love Porto's -- who doesn't? But be prepared to wait. Always a crowd, so not so great when you are in hurry. Use the time waiting trying to decide what to get, because so there is so much to choose from. I have many favorites. I love the potato and ground beef croquettes always go quick at any party.... I used to live in Downey, and the downtown area where Porto's is located is great. Give yourself time to wait in line and find a table, especially if it's a weekend or it's dinner time. One side of the restaurant is take-out, and the other side is for dine-in. Sandwiches, pastries (savory and sweet), and the meal plates are... More

Ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant with some fresh squeezed orange juice and it was awesome! Tried the potato balls as well and they were surprising good! Very busy place so be prepared to wait in line for a while.

All that you have heard is so true .. baked goods, prices, etc. etc. We were looking for a close, easy place to park for a quick take out order. The options were limited to metered street parking or a parking ramp around the corner. Since the cafe is in congested downtown area there are limited options. Could there be... More
