They have a good selection for lunch specials. I prefer their tortilla soup. Has great flavor and is just the right amount. Service is friendly and nice. Their house salsa can be on the spicy side, so beware.

We have lived in Granite Bay for many years, and tried every Mexican restaurant that has come along. Bernardo's is by far the best food, most consistent, and best priced. Not only is the food excellent, but the service is the best!
Very tasty Mexican food but they have raised there prices not a little but a huge amount, use to be very reasonable for the past several years BUT now expensive, I would say on average their prices went up like 30-40% and the booth seating...More
Stopped by for dinner. Casual atmosphere, limited server staff but friendly. The guacamole was quite good to start. The taco/tostado combination was quite good. The bean/rice burrito was good. I would say this is standard Mexican cuisine with generous portions.
Ok Mexican food and use to be reasonable but they raised the prices like 30% and very expensive and the seating is very uncomfortable with worn out sticky seats!
Unfortunately the food was not good. Carnitas were dried out, not an appetizing looking plate. My husband had one of the combination plates, which was just covered in sauce. The people who worked there were very kind and service was excellent. Sorry to say we...More
Terrible dinner! Combo plate was flavorless. A heavy sauce ruins the chile relleno, mushy enchilada, and terrible tamale! All covered with a flavor devoid sauce! Very disappointing! The server was great but he was not the chef! Carnita was dry as cardboard!
My husband and I make a trip to this restaurant each week for a meal. I enjoy most everything on the menu and especially the soup. The service is excellent and waiter Steve always takes care of us!
I enjoyed my meal last time but my spouse wasn't as thrilled. She said it was "okay." The price wasn't cheap but I didn't feel it was way over-priced either. I would go again, but my spouse would probably say "Let's try somewhere else," since...More
