Staff is friendly and always refilling your coffee cup. Food is great, the hangover is my favourite, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, onions and sausage with sour dough toast, yum! This is our second time of eating here and won't be our last.

We might have been the last customers of the day (the place closes up after lunch) and that's what the cook was singing over and over. Strangely, it was more funny, or charming than annoying. We were somewhat late in arriving in town and after checking into our hotel were looking for lunch (well, really, we both wanted a hearty... More

Whenever we get the chance this is the first place we go when coming to Half Moon Bay. If we lived closer it would be a lot more often! Everything is fresh and plenteous, and the staff makes sure that your order is perfect, the way you request it. Everyone is friendly and the place is clean and welcoming. There's... More

Went to Half moon Bay to get away when I asked a local resident where is a good place to eat she referred me to main street. Hmmm I thought Main street consisted of 4 blocks. I was wrong it has so many retail shops and restaurants. One we tried was Main Street Grill... The breakfast was great, Service was... More

Stopped in for lunch upon arrival in HMB. Nice diner like appeal. Good breakfast/lunch choices. Friendly folks and the cook sings while working. Good value, good food, good vibes.

We were looking for a nice local spot for breakfast. Main St Grill was the ticket! Great service! Friendly service! A nice local charm with some serenading from the owner/cook thrown in. Food was fantastic, hot and quick service. Will definitely come back here. Could se it as a regular joint if we were locals.

Excellent service! Large, hot breakfast meals prepared & served within 10 minutes. Reasonable prices. Also, clearly a favorite of a regular local clientel. The ambience reflects the owners love of classic jazz & performers. This is the quintessential small town diner, located in historic downtown Half Moon Bay.

Folksy atmosphere, waitress with bigger than life personality. Generous portions, all American with some Mexican flavor.

This little restaurant is a throwback to the days of old, when the town was small and sleepy. We were lucky enough to get a table for breakfast as soon as we walked in the door. The room felt warm and seemed to be full of regulars and locals. Sourdough french toast and blackberries with a side of bacon hit... More

Great local breakfast place, looked to be busy with a lot of regular customers. We really enjoyed our breakfasts but overall they were smaller and about $10-$12. Don't expect the overstuffed plate of breakfast food with potatoes. The waitress was excellent.
