Have been here for lunch several times. Each time i order the shrimp stuffed peppers and they are always the best part of the meal. They are a 5! Their service is always great! Maria helped me yesterday and she was wonderful. The meals are solid performers but not near as tasty as the peppers.

Order the Chili Geuritas (sp?) - you will NOT regret! Delicious. Atmosphere is authentic and fun. Easy to get to. Quite an experience.

The restaurant itself as far as ambiance was fine. However, all of our food was too salty. The food would be much better if the chefs would have a lighter hand with the salt.

I've never seen Chilaquiles like this before but the flavors were spot on. The location is in an industrial area and probably not somewhere I'd want to be after dark, but I'll be back for lunch.

Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to leave us a review. We clean the restrooms frequently, but we'll make sure we double check the restrooms during especially busy weekends. Thanks, again, for your feedback. More

Delicious and authentic Mexican food. Friendly service and you never have to wait long for a table. Can't ask for more. Try their stuffed shrimp peppers, add a little soy sauce Yum!

Very disappointed in iceberg lettuce, tasteless flats, and dull beans. Would not go again despite cheerful service

Family run business (without the pathological need to tell so all the time) Tried out and tested recipes. Sure - the waitress forgot our order of a guaca mehicana, and no formal excuse was issued but hey - once we adressed the issue it landed on the table swiftly so no biggy. Temperature was unbelievably high outside for a couple... More

Description
We specialize in serving authentic Mexican food from secret family recipes, including seafood specialties, plus cocktails from a full bar!

Our Chiles Gueritos are a popular local favorite - shrimp stuffed yellow peppers topped with mayo and soy sauce. Our restaurant offers a unique dining experience that's just like eating at home with family and friends. The "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" of the trains passing by on the train tracks behind us is also something you'll never forget!

Opened in 1981, El Mexicali Cafe on Indio Blvd. Is one of the longest-running woman-owned eateries in the Coachella Valley. El Mexicali Cafe Day was establishes on March 19 in the City of Indio, and you can typically count on something special at the restaurant to celebrate the occasion.
