The employees make up for the watery eggs, spicy gravy, and overall food I would not eat again. Even the biscuits were dry.

Had prime rib & it was pretty good & affordable. My husband had a chicken pie & left nothing on the plate. Very busy Friday night in town but only waited 5 minutes. Good service.

We were in Julian for the Christmas festival and the weather was freezing cold. There was a line to get in, but we had read about the pie and so we ordered a piece from their outdoor window. We finally got it, along with the hot apple cider served with cream and caramel. What a treat! Very fresh and delicious.

We ordered dessert here and both the apple crumb pie and the Apple boysenberry crumb pie were wonderful. The coffee was perfect and our waitress was spot on and attentive. She was cheerful and very efficient.

Julian Cafe has just about anything to accommodate a diverse crowd with varying tastes for breakfast lunch and dinner. The signature chicken pot pie turnover and tortilla soup were delicious.

This weekend was the second time in about 12 months that we have visited this cafe for breakfast. The first was better than the second. The cafe is very crowded and the tables are squished together. The food takes a bit and comes out luke-warm to cold. Our food was "alright" as every person answered at our table. It was... More

The Julian Cafe has been in town for as long as I can remember, and has a tried and true menu. You enter this place and the staff is pleasantly hospitable and welcoming. The menu has something for everyone, all home-cooked and fresh. We always go here for breakfast, best eggs, bacon, pancakes anywhere. Very family-oriented with an all-around good... More

My family and will fairly regularly ride our motorcycles up to Julian on a weekend. Our favorite routine is to leave early and grab breakfast at the Julian Cafe. Their Apple Walnut pancakes are fantastic! Very filling though so only get the short stack (2). I usually get an egg white omelette and my wife gets the short stack and... More

We stopped in for breakfast on our way home from camping at William Heise County Park. Service was great, food was plentiful and tasty, but our final bill of $30 for breakfast for 2 was high (we didn't order any extras either -- $2.95 just for a cup of coffee). Then again, I guess it's expected when you're paying for... More
