Terrible service, exceptionally rude staff, overpriced sushi One of many flaws: sitting at the bar, we had to repeat our orders several times because they were neglected, and ultimately half of them not fulfilled. Also, food (whatever we finally managed to get, LOL) quality is not worth the money spent We are not coming back to that place

This was some of the best sushi I have had in a long time. The place isn't fancy but the servers are friendly and helpful. Took the family there after a great day on the slopes. We didn't leave anything behind. A favorite was the Carlos roll and the spicy scallop roll.

Enjoy my visits to Hiros...i dont go enough. If the highway 28 traffic renovation would ease...id be there all the time. Hiros a great guy with interesting history. His sushi chefs are very persinable and work hard at their craft. Seriously...its the ONLY place to go in Kings Beach!

This is a busy, fun little sushi restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive even with a packed house. The atmosphere here is casual and rather family like. There is a sushi bar and there are tables. We had the edamame with a nice sauce on it, some sushi rolls and other. We accompanied our dinner with white wine. The... More

Have always had excellent meals here. This restaurant rivals any of the good sushi restaurants in our local San Francisco Bay Area. Great variety to suit any taste!

Stopped for dinner with my wife and placed our order. Good service. Saki tasted watered down and was only warm. Sashimi pieces were no larger than an 1" square and very thin. I guess we are used to the coast where the portions equal the charge.

We go to Tahoe about once a month, and we eat at Hiro Sushi the first night every time. I know -- not much for diversity. But this place is just so much fun we always look forward to it. I highly recommend the "all you can eat option", which runs from 5:00 to 7:00 and is at the sushi... More

Small hole in the wall place recommended highly over the years. Extensive menu, specials, salads, appetizers which I fell for, or all you can eat options @ $ 29.00. The cost of the fish and other factor keep prices on the high side. Food is excellently prepared and presented, servers poorly trained "are you finished", popular place and you eat... More

My family and I went here while we were visiting last weekend. Sushi was awesome and Hiro, the owner was so sweet! A little pricey but great food!
