We love piano bars! And have discovered the best “secret” in the desert. RON PASS, at Morgan’s at La Quinta Resort. It is a total joy to spend an evening enjoying his performing. As a matter of fact during our recent visit we attended every night – including an extra performance on the way to Palm Springs International. We visit... More

I had been to Morgans in the past, and it was an OK upscale steak houseish place, but I just went for a dinner with friends, and the food blew us away! The restaurant is beautiful as ever, service great, but the food was unbelievable. quality ingredients, subtle layering of flavors, interesting but not oppressive sauces, and spectacular presentation and... We have tried several restaurants in La Quinta and this is the one we keep going back to. The food is really good, the cocktails are good and they must have gotten a new pastry chef because the desserts are really good now, too. It's on the pricy side but at least it's good.

This place is very charming; the setting is really perfect, especially in the winter with the fireplace going. The food is good but it's one of those places where you have to be careful or you'll still be hungry when you leave. We were four people; two people ordered dishes that turned out to be tiny and two people ordered... More

On our way back from Tucson we met our best friends who were staying at the La Quinta Resort. We had never been at this resort and it is huge. I drove into the turnaround and told the valet we were meeting friends for dinner and I offered to self park. He told me parking was complementary so off we... More

Our server informed us that there was a new Chef with a new menu. He informed us that the new food choices have an Asian flair. I had the butter squash ravioli, that was very tasty. The others in our party all had fish, which they said was good. The only complaint I had was that the bread that was... More

This is a beautiful restaurant. The food is very good, but it is also very, very expensive. We went for my in-laws anniversary. They are elderly and needed a quiet place that felt special. We were staying at the resort and this place fit the bill. Everyone liked their meals, with just a few exceptions. The Caesar salad and butternut... More

I have written several rave reviews about Morgans, no more.We are here usually a dozen times a season, the food has become horribly pretentious, some of the servers have remained but the new restaurant manager has read too many of his own press releases and is oblivious. Too much dry ice and foams masking a general incompetence, Before being so... More

Simply the best restaurant in the desert. The food is exquisite and the service is fantastic and the room is really beautiful too. They have some of the best meats and fish anywhere, not just in the desert. Try the lamb. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to Morgans the week before Thanksgiving and would highly recommend this restaurant. The few hours spent there resulted in a wonderful, fin evening. The hostess, waitress and waiter welcomed us treated us warmly. The manager even introduced himself and chatted with us. The best part of our evening was the entertainment. The pianist/singer Ron Pass... More
